    Hello friends.

I am not upset about how we extended our division lead this evening.

Also, Mr. Nathan Edward Eovaldi is a sweet, sweet angel.

Last time Jays faced Paxton, he threw a no hitter.

This time around, Estrada had a no hitter going until the 7th.

Any team still wondering about Estrada? I'm sure guys have cleared trade waivers already and if so, someone should be trying to get him ASAP.

Well I'm ready for football season. The Mariners are about to be the 1st team in baseballs 150 year history to be 25 games over .500 and finish under .500 that same season. Congrats Mariners.

With their number of one-run victories, the Cano suspension and the Paxton injury, the writing was pretty much on the wall for this exact outcome. Not to mention the tear Oakland is on and the Astros being on cruise control.

                It simply wasn't sustainable.

Paxton missed 1 start. Maybe when cano returns we go on a tear but I doubt it. Would take him 2-3 weeks to heat up. Unless he is able to do a rehab assignment at AAA. But I dont know how that would work.

My offseason wish list for the M's...

                  Sign Dallas Kuechel
Sign Adam Jones OR A.J. Pollock
                  Resign Nelson Cruz
                  Sign Andrew Miller

That would be ideal. Or we could just toss $300M at Machado and move Seager to 1B, that would improve 2 positions with one signing. But doubt we have the funds for that, especially with Cano on the books. We desperately need a CF so Jones and Pollock would be ideal and relatively cheap, as Pollock due to his injury history may only command a 1 or 2 year deal. Kuechel would slot nicely into the #2 slot. Rotation of Paxton, Kuechel, Gonzalez, Felix, and whoever would be the 5th guy is rock solid. Especially the top 3. Andrew Miller would also be a nice addition and would work as a swing guy in the BP, something we haven't really had in recent years. And if we want to contend we cant afford to lose Cruz's bat in the middle. But all this is wishful thinking.

Well... then it was an important start!

Heh, I thought he missed a lot more than that. Hernandez has been about for a while then, how's that? I know he's not the ace he once was, but I'd rather have him on the mound than not.

I forget, but I think Seager was maybe out for a while and just came back? I haven't been keeping too much tabs on the M's.

Your offseason dreams at least can still happen. My Giants' offseason dreams got shattered when they balked on signing Yelich. I also wish we still had Leake...

Suggestion to help Teheran's 1st inning issues...

Start a relief pitcher in the 1st and THEN Teheran in the 2nd.

Hey Godgers, remember how I said to relax and just go with the flow?

Yeah....If the Jays sweep the M's this afternoon it's time to hit the ol' panic button. It's kind of funny as just a a few days/week ago I read on the bottom line of one of the sports networks that Scott Servais signed a multi-year extension. The M's are lucky they're in the same division as the Astros because if they had a lead in the west all year long (I know they had it for a while there) and they're doing this apparent choke job there would be people clamoring to fire Servais ASAP.

Honestly, the run differential and the fact that at the moment the M's can't score more than 3 runs to save their lives is killing them right now. I know the Rangers made the playoffs a couple years ago with a negative run differential but that's the exception to the rule.

                              Oh well....
