Julio Daniel Martinez has surpassed 100 RBI, now sitting at 101.

Also, JBJ is a homer away from the cycle.

EDIT: This is the most runs Boston has scored in a road game since April 12, 1994 when they plated 22 against Kansas City.

And for a non-Sox note, Texas' Ronald Guzman is the first rookie EVER to hit 3 dingers in one game vs the Yankees.

Mookie is slacking tonight. 3 hits, 2 BBs, and 3 RBI but still a triple and homer from the cycle. For a potential MVP candidate, you'd think he'd have some accomplishments like that on his resume.

Let me preface by saying I follow every team's Twitter account, as well as every team's SB Nation Twitter account.

Baltimore's official account has evolved into "Aww, look at them still trying."

However, JD now has reached 30 HR and 100 RBI in his first season with Boston. The last player to do that was future Hall of Famer David Ortiz in 2003.

Bit of sad news to pass along.

On August 10, 2018, the Baltimore Orioles have been eliminated from AL East contention.

They could finish the season 46-0, and still not win the division.

RIP in Peace.

They tied the 1962 Mets (40-120) and funny enough the 1932 Red Sox (45-109) for earliest elimination.

The 2003 Tigers (43-119) didn't get eliminated until August 22nd.
