Cardinals had a chance to distance themselves from the Dodgers in the wildcard race. Instead we drop the first 2 and are now tied.

Let's win the last 2 boys!

Interesting question I just saw on Twitter that could go either way, IMO.

      NLROY: Acuña or Soto?

Would love to see the Cubs lose some games, too, lol, and most of their remaining games are at home, and they don't need to travel too far from to the south side.

Yeah, but they will have earned that stretch. The Cubs have played games (or parts of them) for 25 straight days. They still have 5 more days and a trip out to Arizona and back before they get a single day off. lol. Meanwhile, the Brewers haven't played a game on a Thursday in the month of September and have a pillowy soft finish to the schedule with the only winning team left being the Cardinals.

The Cubs are running on fumes and dealing with several injuries and guys who are somewhat hurt, but not hurt enough to be on the DL. The grind of a 162-game season.

I think Acuna has it won fairly handily.

Have I mentioned how much I hate when Luke Jackson is in the game?

Not that I've seen. But, I also don't think anyone mentioned Barry Bonds' #25 jersey retirement ceremony earlier this season on August 11th against the Pirates either.

Cubs' bats certainly didn't do much today, but W's are W's. Good outing by Lester.

I don't disagree, that 162 game grind is for real. The Brewers went through the same stretch as the Cubs are earlier in the season and had many players on the DL longer than 10 days. Plus, I consider they lost their ace from last year into some point in the season next year.

My point was the Cubs are very good at home and that should swing things in their favor playing a majority at home and they should take the series on the south side, but you never know with a cross town rival.

At least it's another year there is discussion of a pennant race in the last few weeks of the season.

I can only hope the Brewers don't implode like they did last season.

Ohtani and Trout went back to back for the first time.

                                Hopefully first of many.
