Yelich has come a long way from getting dunked on by Dee Gordon in a Miami Marlins post game interview and injuring his back.

I love Yelich in every which way, and he really helped my fantasy team to start the week (though those back-to-back M's home runs really helped my opponent, so what are ya gonna do). Also really wish he was a Giant, but I can't do anything about that hah.

However, I've watched that first home run over and over, and that ball had no business going out. It left by like twenty feet, as well. I think they're winding up the balls even more tightly this year, or whatever they're doing to them. It is crazy how different it is from four or five years ago.

Your wish is on hold for awhile.

                Stop pitching to Yelly.

                Yelich vs Cardinals in 5 games: 8 H, 6 HR, 7 BB, 14 RBI.

Seriously, the dude is a gold glover too. He made two plays late in the game that were incredible. The first one Arcia thinks he can reach every fly ball in the outfield and had to leap over Yelich to avoid a collision. Second one, Kolten Wong hit a sinking liner towards the corner in right and Yelly stretched out and slid head first to catch the ball. Wong tipped his head and helmet towards Yelich.

We need pitching too, though. Man, we can't rely on Yelich to bail out our pitching staff all the time. 3 hr's and 7rbi's and we needed all of those 7rbi's because the pitching staff gave up 6 runs.

And Hateraide gave up a HR, but then settled in with a great slider and struck out the side.

Stop messing around and go sign both Keuchel and Kimbrel. We need the help.

Ok we'll sign Kimbrel and trade him and Fowler to you for Yelich.

                        That's an extremely fair trade.

Dwight Smith's home run yesterday was the 600th home run of the season.

Last year, we didn't reach 600 until April 20th.

I believe that 7 of Yelich's 8 HR's have come against the Cards this year....has homered in every game against St. Louis so far.

Props to @MLBRandomStats on twitter for this related nugget:

Yelich is one of 4 players who have at least 5 homers against one team so far this year

Which is really weird because 2 years ago he was in the top 5 in pitch framing, if I remember right. I have no idea what changed.

Since they were off yesterday, the Braves are celebrating Jackie Robinson tonight. The cream uniforms with 42 on both the front and back would look really good, IMO.
