Dustin Pedroia is so gotdang valuable and likable.

He helped David Price with his crap last year, and recently (a couple days ago) taught Eduardo Rodriguez a new breaking ball that he used tonight.

Our veteran 2B, who hasn't played meaningful games since mid-2017, is coaching our pitchers and it's actually working.

This is the Heyward the Cubs faced in the 2015 NLDS. the guy they paid a bunch of money too. This is very encouraging.

I still think they need bullpen help but there are alot of encouraging signs. Strop is the one guy I'll never be worried about. He's one of the most underappreciated players in Cubs History.
Maybe we can worry about his car

Cubs closer Pedro Strop's car was stolen before Wednesday's game, and he was still speaking with police in the fourth inning when he said he had to go. Strop went on to get the save in the Cubs' 7-6 win over the Dodgers.

He has often made me nervous, but the guy is a hoss...he's been featured for, what, 5-6 seasons now? (actually 8 if you include Baltimore)

Seems to appear in every game, but average about 65 appearances each season. Cubs Legend for sure, though.

I actually think he'd make a pretty good manager one day if he chooses to do so.

Is Stripling hurt or something? 4 2/3 innings, 76 pitches, 5 hits allowed with no runs and he's gone?

Lester done too at 79 pitches, which I can understand a bit more with him making his first start since being injured.

                  Fun fact trivia time.

Vladdy Jr has until the end of May to break the Jays franchise record for youngest player to hit a home run.

                  Who currently holds that record?

So the league leaders in in hitting categories such as batting average, RBI's, Runs, and HR's are Cody Bellinger and Christian Yelich. The only category they don't lead is stolen bases which belongs to Tim Anderson.

Vlad Jr arrived to Jays game wearing his dads expos jersey

First BP, he hit the windows in 300 OF level.

MLBN will be showing the game in some areas I think. Hes batting 5th, so 2nd inning AB probably.

Great video from Vlad sr to jr

                            Vladdys first AB!

Grounds out to Morales of all people. How fitting.

Had one really hittable pitch that he fouled straight back, and also a ball called a strike that was definitely outside.

That 2nd strike call changed the AB and screwed Vlad but Jays fans can't be TOO mad. Stroman has been getting that outside strike call early on tonight as well.
