That 2nd strike call changed the AB and screwed Vlad but Jays fans can't be TOO mad. Stroman has been getting that outside strike call early on tonight as well.

Fans are so pumped for this game, they applauded their own RF diving into the stands for a foul ball and coming up short.

This HP umpire in the Jays game must've graduated from the Eric Gregg school of umpiring. Those of you who enjoy looking at pitching charts you'll be shocked to see just how wide this strike zone is.

Come on baseball Gods! Tie game heading into the 9th.

Vlad Jr is due up to start bottom half. First hit could be game winning hit. If it's a walk off HR, it'd top his Montreal HR and be a memorable debut for sure.


Lol, I dont think I've seen statcast applied to a guys BP. Vladdys BP home run would've been over 450ft. Over 115mph velocity.

Vlad with a double! Welcome to the show.

I should've clarified. I wanted a walk off as in other team walks off after they lose.

Instead we got Vlad with a walkoff double....because Vlad walked off after hitting it for a pinch runner.

Jays then bunt and runner on 3rd and 1 out.

And Drury with walkoff HR!

Feels weird being excited for baseball like this in a losing season. Although they are around a .500 team despite selling off most guys already.

But at same time, its first season since who knows when that Jays are rebuilding and have a bright future.

Looks like for now, jays shop is only one with Vlad gear.

$40 plus tax and shipping for tshirt jersey? Regular stores sell other guys for almost half that price.

I'm sure fans will be getting his jersey quickly too. I'm waiting till the end of the season because I know the switch from majestic to Nike will mean everything on clearance.

Darvish working his way towards another 4 inning start, but so far managed to not give up a run yet.

And in the top of the third a balked-home run turns into a 5 run outburst with 2 out.

2 homer game for David Bote!
