told you not to panic about Bryant quite yet. He was only 1-4 but every single PA he had an exit velocity over 105+. after the start they had it's miracle they are 15-12.

This is why I dont like MLBs scheduling vs NBA and NHL. I know it's an uncommon opinion, but I like playing every team each year regardless if its AL or NL.

15 teams in a league, why not a 4 game(2 home,2 road) series vs each team in that league?

6 games each vs the other 10 teams in your own league.

Then 10 vs each of the 4 teams in your own division.

I don't think I would like playing every team every year, it makes the match ups feel more special when they're spread out and lets me focus on the teams competing for the same things we are (division/WC) more easily.

There were multiple times last week though when I would've given up the DH and subjected myself to watching pitchers hit if they would split the league like the NBA and go back to the pre-interleague play model so I can guarantee Yankees games start no later than 8 on any given night.

Between Bryant, Rizzo, and Schwarber...two of them HAVE to round into form...I don't think one will be enough.

Hard to see how Russell fits in with this team...unless it means considerably less time for Zobrist. Descalso is getting on base, drawing lots of walks...and bats LH..****ssell delivers near-gold-glove level defense, but how likely is it that Russell out-hits Descalso, given how much he has underachieved at the plate.

Russell and Baez up the middle is tough to beat, though, when it comes to leather. Saving the wear on Javy by moving him to 2B is also a thing.

considering how Bote is hitting I really don't think there's should be much playing time for him because Bote is close to as good as a fielder and he's a way better hitter. I don't think there is talk but any talk off Javy off SS for Russell they should be fired into the sun.

The A's are only here once every six years and I don't think I'll be able to go to one game this weekend.

My wife is going to be in Europe so on Friday I will have to get the dog after work and don't really want to drive all the way home, take the dog out and then go back downtown.

Saturday and Sunday I have a couple golf rounds scheduled. (Wasn't thinking of this series when they were scheduled).

Last time they were here I went to all three games but it was a weekday series if I recall correctly and we didn't have a dog making it much easier to just walk across the bridge after work.

I want to give you **** for the horrible planning and tell you you can golf any other weekend. Realistically though with the way they're playing I'm not sure you'll be missing much.

This Max Fried guy is pretty good...loving the way the rotation is coming around, especially the young guys Fried and Soroka. Bullpen has actually been half way decent the last week or so...let's sign Kimbrel to round it out.

Oh look.

Snit doing Snit things and pinch hitting for a young pitcher who is dealing with just 85 pitches with this bullpen. Even bad bullpens will go through stretches. Snit is going to cost us a game, if not tonight, really soon.

edit - I don't care that it "worked" there. Getting 1 RBI with this pen means nothing.
