Heck, ever since the Marlins had that abysmal 10-31 start they have been 21-18 since. In that same span the Phillies have gone 19-22. In that 41 game stretch the Phillies are 0-4 against Miami. 100% the Marlins have been the better team since the middle of May.

Also, since that 7-2 start to this year, the Phillies have been 36-37. Kapler's seat has to be getting warmer. First that awful collapse to end last year and now the way they've played this year outside of their hot start. They are very fortunate to not be down in the division double digit games by now.

Records since May 14.

Braves 28-13
Nats 25-15
Marlins 21-18
Phillies 19-22
Mets 17-25

This game went from extremely depressing to not bad at all REAL quick.

First MLB game in 30 years where both teams scored 6 runs in the 1st

If they are playing the better ball and have won 4 straight then I'd say that would make them the better team right now. Have they had a better season overall? No. Will they? Probably not. Are they the better team in the last 6 weeks? Yes.

Really funny watching this here in England, the commentators keep trying to link it to English things, but they clearly don't know enough for it to make any sense. The rest of the time they are just chatting away as usual in a way that must be complete gibberish to anyone who isn't familiar with the game (which is about 99% of the UK).

Really can't imagine this is going to generate more interest in the UK, it's not being handled very well at all. It's on BT Sport, which is an expensive TV package not many people have, particularly this time of year when there is no PL football to watch. It's also on the BBC, which is free, but it's not on the TV channels, only online, so I can't see many people watching it there either.

Weird to make such an effort to get it over here and then just put it on platforms that not many people will watch.

It absolutely ruins everything good and holy about our sweet, sweet game.

I honestly don't know if it will ever recover. Biofreeze ads on the sleeves could very well signal the beginning of the end of baseball itself.

This game is a failure. One hour first inning, a million pitching changes, so many commercial breaks. What person who doesn't follow baseball would watch this and be more interested?
