Agreed. He started off slow the first couple of games, but he's been good since then. Not what I expected, but I'll take it.

Schwarber is playing better since he was removed from the leadoff spot.

    Castellanos has 6 doubles already.

Strop is back from the DL.

Maybe the team is primed to get hot.

Anyone agree the Yankees have one of the best if not THEE best back up catching depth in the league. Between Austin Romine and Kyle Higashioka they are just solid all the way around.

Oh, Urshela just hit his 2nd homer of the night, go Yanks.

            Snit...

I'd like to know why Ozzie and Acuna aren't running more w/their speed.

Gosh, I want 80s ball so much.

So, the Orioles are actually pretty bad.

The record for home runs allowed is the 2016 Reds, who gave up 258 home runs.

Baltimore is on pace for 333.

Home run records don't really mean anything right now considering what's happened with the sport.

Ozzie and Acuna are running quite a bit. I love it until one day it costs an out at an inopportune time. But you can't castrate players from doing what they do best. Let em fly. Four against the Marlins. Let's beat their ****ing asses and seal this thing.

Y'all keep saying this and I keep not giving a ****.

Hitting a baseball is still the hardest thing to do in sports. So ****ing what if it goes farther now? I'm gonna keep posting when crazy home run stuff happens, and you guys can keep wishing it was 1913.

By all means keep posting. Nobody asked you not to post the homerun stats, just sharing their opinions on them.

Oh I was going to regardless.

It's just annoying when I post something I find a lot of interest in, and a couple people **** on it and try to belittle it.

Which, of course, is the nature of the internet. People don't want other people to enjoy things that they don't enjoy. So I digress lol.

You say this, and yet you keep posting about how you apparently dont give a ****. A bit ironic, no?

The baseball has always been hard to hit. Saying so has nothing to do with people pointing out that the "ball goes farther".

I actually do find these posts interesting. Regardless of what drives the modern phenomenon of homeruns, baseball is a sport about history and "on this day I 19xx". It is just odd to get so upset that people are using a forum in the way it was designed, but I guess that is your prerogative as an OS member as well.

Nothing better then watching some old school baseball. I guess its considered small ball today. Get em on, get em over, get em in. Easier said than done.

You are right though, it is shame we don't see more of it today. Everyone wants to see the long ball.

Bo since he made MLB debut has 10 game hit streak and 8 game double streak.

Tonight he is only now making his home debut.

Homeruns are I guess a little more watered down now. But still impressive. I've said before I don't mind the baseballs, but move the fences back at least.

Either way every era is different. The steroid era then flipped to a deadening of offense. Now we are back to offensive highs.

That's baseball. I'm sure it we I'll change again in a five year span. It always does.
