I thoroughly enjoy Ozzie on the bases.

As a Major League Baseball player standing on third base with less than two outs, how do you not tag up on a ball in the air to the outfield?

He owes Pham a steak for lowering his average and not giving him an RBI. Big break for my fantasy team with Plesac on the mound, though.

Twins are closing in on the record.

On the way, they set another record.

They're the first team in MLB history to have 8 players hit 20+ home runs.

I know I'm behind, but Billy Hamilton just hit a ground rule double on what could've been an inside-the-park home run. That's crazy.

Upcoming TB vs BAL game rescheduled due to hurricane.

Shouldn't MLB just add 1 more loss to BAL and about 5 more homers allowed? Any real reason to play this game?

Michael Nelson Trout is now the only player in history to reach 275 home runs and 200 stolen bases before his age 28 season.

Braves had a really good celebration for Josh Donaldson's HR. They busted out an umbrella and made him carry it as they threw **** on him. Bringer of Rain and such. Pretty funny.

I think I just saw fan catch of the year in Toronto.

Alvarez (Houston) hits a foul oppo slicer that a fan snags backhanded with his off-hand (not has hard if you play the sport because you're used to it, but still harder) while scaling up a few steps with a beer in his other hand. He does have bear paws for hands so that helps the backhanded snag, but given the parameters that seems impossible to actually snag out of the air and hold onto.

It wasn't the flashiest, but I bet that is the hardest for anyone to actually replicate. Out of 1,000 times, 999 would drop that IMO. Too bad it was so understated that Toronto's broadcast was the only one to replay it, and MLB Tonight had nothing on it just showing Stros/Jays highlights so far. I was stunned.

EDIT: Nevermind, he didn't have to go up steps. There was someone behind him in the shot that I thought was him climbing those stairs as the ball was hit. I don't think that changes my ranking.

On another note, I love the Juniors Biggio, Bichette, and Guerrero leading off this Blue Jays lineup.

Justin Verlander with a no-hitter through six innings so far, but he has already thrown 84 pitches.

EDIT: Welp, the Blue Jays just helped him out a little bit. After a full-count six-pitch strikeout, the next two hitters swung at the first pitch and aired out. He is 93 pitches through 7 IP.

I don't know if the no-hitter still qualifies if he throws 9 IP with no hits allowed and the game goes to extras though, since it's currently a 0-0 score and the pitchers on the other side have only given up two hits themselves... so it's possible that we end up going down that path.

SECOND EDIT: 8 innings, 106 pitches, 13 K, 1 walk, 0 hits. Now that the Astros have a 2-0 lead, Verlander has a chance to finish in nine. I feel like a hit given up though and they'll go to Osuna, just because of his pitch count and not having been in the stretch for most all of this game... and because "HERP DERP SAV3S."

We woke, OS? Radio silence so far.

Third career no-no for Verlander! Second one in Toronto, no less.

His curve today was filthy. He honestly missed with his fastball a bunch, even down the middle often. Thankfully, players like Bichette were trying to hit a two-run homer with no one on base, and helped him out a bunch with that.
