I'm not sure it will be the A's, trading Cameron for Byrnes is a half dozen of one and six of the other. If it is the A's i see them taking Heilman over Seo. They could probably trade Cameron by himself to Houston or the Cubs (but i could see the Cubs taking Seo). Texas and Detroit may want all three in a deal.

If Seo's butt could learn how to work effectively, he'd be a great #4-5 guy. His only drawback is that he usually is at 100 pitches in the 4th inning.

According to the Bergen Record the Mets are getting closer to acquring Byrnes.

          Byrnes/Bradford for Cameron and Cash

Can a Met fan give me an unbiased opinion on Byrnes? I don't keep up much with the west coast guys (especially in the AL). All I know is that he has some power and plays center.

Not a Mets fan, but a Ranger fan. Brynes gives 110%, he's a player who gives his all and sacrifices his body to make catches a lot. He does have some power, like u mentioned. Good well rounded player.

Well considering that the DR is baseball's 2nd baseball biggest talent pool in the world, and dominican starts like Tejada and Vlady still play there from time to time then that makes your statement look pretty stupid.

I am a die hard Mets fan, and with the current team, I see no more than a .500 season. If Reyes, Floyd, and everyone for that matter, can stay healthy, they may be able to contend.

If you really think about it, what have the Mets done?

                          1. Replaced Leiter with Pedro. This may equal 5 more wins at best.
                          2. Replaced Hildago with Beltran. With all the games Hildago won for us last year (offensively), I see no improvement in the win column here.

As the younger players develop, we could have a very good team on our hands for years to come. But I won't get too excited about this year just yet.

How many wins did he win for the Mets? While he did well when he first came over, after that he didnt do anything for the mets.. while i'm not expecting Beltran to be a savior, he's a better defensive outfielder & has driven in 100 RBI the past several seasons.. Hildago only had that one big year where Houston tremendously overpaid him for.
