Yeah it’s officially happening. On one hand they won 100 games without him last season, but on the other hand they’ll be missing him for the playoffs this time around which may be too much to overcome

I guess this is just another reason to think this has to finally be the Dodgers year

Good to see Brett Cecil in mid-season form

BTW...did anyone see Brock Holt's between the legs tag yesterday?

                  Re: 2020 Spring Training Thread

Only good news for Yankees fans is that this happened extremely early in Spring Training so you can give young guys longer looks to see if they can fulfill the need or bring in someone who is still in free agency and see how it works out.

But, while that is "good news", this is a blow to the Yankees.

                    Re: 2020 Spring Training Thread

My biggest question is does anyone still trust the Twins to beat the Yankees in a best or 7 ALCS? These two teams are the only ones I can see coming out of the AL this season, and the Twins improved their pitching Some by adding Kenta Maeda, but I still don’t think there’s any way they last more than 5 games against the Yankees with or without Severino because I don’t think they’ve closed the gap enough pitching wise. Their bullpen is actually pretty stout but it’s the rotation I’m really concerned about for Minnesota

The real kick in the balls was this whole process could have been started earlier, but for whatever reason they waited to do an MRI with contrast until now.

The other non-contrast MRIs showed nothing. Wildly incompetent from the medical staff.

As I see it, this far out, the AL is a race between the Yankees and the Astros with some Rays sprinkled around.

I dont think any thing going on in the Bronx will affect LA LA Land as much as places like Arizona, San Diego, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Philadelphia, D.C. & the north-side of Chicago. if the Dodgers survive that lineup, I think they've got a really good chance to bring home a piece of metal. unless Boston or Houston gets in their way lol

I still think Houston is good for an AL West crown but I can’t see them advancing far in the playoffs

Basically if you throw hard and have nasty breaking stuff and your young. Tommy John is in your future. Smh.

Breaking stuff doesn't really have anything to do with it. It's just arm speed and the force external rotation puts on the elbow/shoulder. Overhand throwing is a very unnatural motion.

Better to have TJ than shoulder surgery though.
