I just heard the same thing on Miked Up on Chanel 4 new York. However they said there have been conflicting reports regarding the Mets. Please keep in mind ESPN said Pedro would not be a Met nor would Beltran. If he goes to Florida he is just doing it for the money and is afraid of a big market.

Actually the Marlins have a better chance of making the playoffs then the mets.

They Do? Who is there Number 1 starter ? He is playing for the Yanks. Al lieter is good but not great. Josh Beckett needs to bounce back. Who is thee closer ?
Mets have a better rotation with a true number 1. David Wright and Reyes have not even come in to there own.Marlins have Zero fan support. I like alot of the Marlins hitters. I think theMets hitters are better.Mets Starters are also are better. As I said before if Delgado signs with Florida he is afraid to play in a big Market. If the Met's don't get him I will be disapointed. However they got the best all around player in Beltran and the best pitcher in Pedro.
