Joe Kelly suspended 8 games for what happened last night. He's appealing.

Ok, MLB....suspend a guy for throwing at Astros but don't suspend a single player for cheating. Makes sense....

Just absurd. But I'm not surprised. 8 games in a 60 game season? Lol you'd have thought he punched someone.

This is why it's so frustrating for fans to see cheating in sports.

How much have teams like the Pats,Red Sox,Astros really been punished? They keep their titles and guys barely even get a slap on the wrist.

Doing the 1 thing everyone expected multiple teams to do is considered a severely worse offensive than actually cheating.

It's a simple thing MLB. You don't take care of ****? The players are gonna take care of it themselves.

Since Kelly is appealing, I would love if he came in relief again tonight.

Lol, I can just picture it like some cop tv show.

One guy starts something, they take him away, moments later the dust has settled, and out of nowhere the same guy comes charging back.

Nate Pearson with one of the most unique debuts ever.

No fans, no family, no friends in attendance.

You're the home team, in the visiting ballpark.

Game itself feels so weird. Jays get to bat in the bottom half, they have walkup music, their own PA announcer recordings, and the crowd audio is cheering for the Jays. All while playing the Nats in Washington.

This probably happens all of the time, but Zac Plesac was one pitch away from throwing an immaculate inning in the top of the 4th against the White Sox. He ended up striking the batter out later in the at-bat all the same.

He's looking good. His only two hits surrendered are Texas leaguers blooped into left field.

I can't think of a better #5 starter in the MLB right now.

EDIT: Speaking of Texas, Joey Gallo ties it up 4-4 against Arizona with a two-run shot at Globe Life Field. I love that they brought The Natural theme song into this park as well.

Yep. Typically I hate throwing at a batter as retaliation for "breaking the unwritten rules".

However, the Astros violated both the written rules and the spirit of the game, got away scot-free, and have been completely unrepentant dicks throughout all this, both regarding their in-game cheating and various off-field issues.

I say all their opponents should use their worst pitcher and chuck at batters (without hitting them) in any blowout situation, admire all their home runs off Astros' pitchers, and generally clown them like Kelly did at every opportunity.

Nobody should be physically injured, but the Astros should have their "feelings" hurt all season long. The Astros really did "disrespect" the game, they're only sorry that they got caught, and they should be disrespected in return.

Joe Kelly's control is so hilariously bad at times that I genuinely don't know if he was intentionally throwing at Bregman and Correa. I think the balls thrown at them were sliders, too, which you typically don't throw if you're trying to send a message. Even if he was, it's still a ridiculous suspension. Carlos Quentin back in 2013 got an 8 game suspension after he charged Zack Greinke and broke his collarbone, by way of comparison.

The pitch to Bregman was a fastball. The Correa ones though were breaking balls, you are correct.

Kelly didn't get warnings after any of those pitches, FWIW. He's a wild pitcher; even if he was trying to intentionally plunk someone, it would be hard to tell.

Kelly, planting the seeds for months.

                                This was in April
