I agree they should consider playing small ball moreso than trying to hit the ball out of the ballpark during every at-bat, but they aren't. It's why you see the shift on players, because most players will not try to bunt the ball to the opposite field or try to hit the ball the other way.

But alas the hit and run, the bunting people over, and the hitting behind runners has become a lost art in today's game.

But again, there were 3 games that weren't played yesterday, so who knows how far above the pace we actually are.
Well you would have to look at how many games were rained out in the first 4 days last year as well

Jays taking it to the Nats again.

Outside of that ugly ending to Sundays game, I've been happy with the way they've played so far.

Starters have been great so far. Weird to think Ryu has had the "worst " start of all starters after 1 go around in the rotation.

They should throw to 2nd a few times at the beginning of every extra inning. Like 15x in a row. Just don't balk!

I'd bet you five bucks the cardboard cutouts in the stands at some parks could throw more strikes than the Pirates bullpen.

Speaking of cardboard cutout, this white sox fan must have money to waste

Surprised there's no limit, although I'm sure teams would rather something like this over potentially not selling all seats.

Brewers have to be the fastest team in history to blow a 4 run lead in a game.

It's weird looking at the standings seeing such disparities in games.

Jays are 3-2, Yankees and Os are 2-1. Win% in effect has both teams ahead.

By the end of it all I wonder what the season could be like if we get to the playoffs. Not just instances like the Marlins, but even simple rain delays which can't be made up.

Could a 30-29 team miss out because a 28-27 team has higher win%?

I can't get over Mark Prior being the pitching coach for the Dodgers. Very strange to me.

Looks like Dodgers are the ones stepping up to the plate first to give it to the Astros.
