He started the season like 0-for-24 or something. He actually hit the snot out of a bunch of balls that just wouldn't land.

At least he has a couple of big flies. Pablo is batting like .150 and slugging the same as well.

Pretty clear they were both brought back for the fans, as a way of reminding them of the good old days. Not the best indication of where the team is at in terms of competitiveness, but then again there are sports teams out there who seem to not give a damn about there fans lol.

Cardinals win their first game back from their nearly 3 week hiatus.

While true, Pence had a good year last year. I guess (like most Giants players) they only seem to hit well when playing for anybody but us.

If they really want to bring somebody back for the fans, they should bring back Bonds.

I thought that Luis Robert home run was going to hit the base of the wall, or at most be sliced enough so that it would scrape right over the wall. It ends up going ten rows deep. Sigh.

Cubs and Brewers going to the extra inning circus ring tied at 4.

Brewers got 2 runs, Cubs got only 1. This is the first series so far this year that the Cubs cannot win (but will not necessarily lose - 4 game series with the finale tomorrow)
