Leaving work early so I can catch first pitch of Cardinals/Reds game at 4:10.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Got our first postponement of the year. I guess thankfully it's due to weather and not covid: Red Sox pushing Opening Day festivities till tomorrow due to rain

Going to the Blue Jays home opener use to be a big deal for me but I feel so detached from this year's team.
With the team in Florida to start the season after playing all their home games in Buffalo last year, it has been difficult to feel the bond but not just because of the distance.
They haven't produced many television or radio broadcast of spring training games (the ones we do get have mostly been from the visiting team's broadcast team) which is very strange considering its owned by Rogers -- a giant media company in Canada.
The outlook for the team returning to Canada isn't great since the vaccine rollout in Ontario has been very slow nevermind having fans in the stands. We're going into a 28-day lockdown starting Saturday
It's a very strange place to be right now as a Jays fan.Comment

If they're losing, it'll suck because they're not at home, probably would've done better if they're at home, and their fans aren't there.
That's what the Raptors are going through. Feels detached since they're far away, no fans, not in their own building. That's the one reason I'm happy they're sucking this year. If theres ever a year to tank for a top 5 pick, it's the year with no fans and no home games.Comment

And the earliest they can play is Saturday. They should have to field a team of minor leaguers like Miami did last yearComment
