One benefit of remote working. I never knew he's still doing other games though.

He's only calling Jays road games this year (since their road broadcasts are done remotely), so I guess he has lots of extra time, though I didnt expect 2 games in a single day.

    I can picture it now.

Commentator: What a play! Have you ever seen anything like that before?

Dan: Yeah, I saw one 4 hours ago in another game I called.

One thing we've overlooked about having fans back. Astros never got their league wide shaming tour.

As fans having their fun booing the Astros.

And another illegitimate result to cap the night off.

          Seriously this has to go.

          It has to go.

That’s going to be fun all year. I was in spring training last year before everything got shut down and the Astros came up to St Lucie to play the Mets and it was a really rowdy crowd. If that’s how it was for a spring training game where they hardly brought any regular players I can only imagine what it will be like as crowds get bigger

I only watched Dodgers/Rockies. Man, Daniel Bard got some calls in the 9th. Thought the 'dgers might pull that out.

I did not know about the runner crossing back rule. You'd think once the ball leaves the yard it would be a moot point, but I guess not.

The Mets entire series with Washington is now cancelled. That seems a little unfair that they’ve got four less days to play 162 games than the rest of the league

I'm not sure if it's different in Canada but Good Friday isn't a holiday here, it's a normal working day.

Opening day usually has the most day games and then back to the normal weekday schedule after that.

How is that even acceptable. Great time for Manfred to try out some more gimmicky stuff like a 7 inning quadruple header lol

I'm sure before the end of April half the teams will be in the same boat as Washington and the Mets and the other half will be there by September.

speaking of September, is it too early to start dreaming of Magic Numbers?

                            Or...a double or nothing game!

                            A regular 9 inning game, except it's worth 2 wins/losses.

                              A follow up on that.

He first called Jays/Yankees game which began at 1pm and ended close to 5pm.

The As vs Astros game ended after 1am.

That's over 7 hours of action called in a 12 hour span!

And one of the innings will be the wildcard inning where all runs count double and strikeouts are minus one run
