Second of all, it's not about A-Rod being a first year player there, and him not earning his stripes, and it has everything to do with his attitude not being like Jeter's, William's, Riviera's and so on. What all the Red Sox are saying is that all of those I just listed are class-acts and professionals, while A-Rod isn't. Besides, the Red Sox have always talked smack, except this time they are ingoring the Yankees altogether, and just focusing on A-Rod.

Originally posted by SquintThis is all a huge friggin' joke. All of them should start acting like professionals and get over themselves.
Everyone wants to dogpile on ARod about not "earning his pinstripes", yet both teams have their fair share of first year players both last year and this year. Why anyone would bring this up in today's day and age of free agency and trade-deadline blockbusters is beyond me.
It mostly sounds like the Red Sox feel like they've finally earned the right to talk smack now that they have one championship to match up with the Yankess twenty-six.

As far as your second comment......funny, I heard a comment that called out ARod on the fact that he was using words such as "we" and "us" a couple weeks after his arrival to NY without having "earned his pinstripes".Comment

You're exactly right... but winning the World Series gives them the right to make that determination?

Re: About the Red Sox comments
What I find ironic is how they were hating on Nomar last season and wishing and wanting to get A-Rod now they are dumping on him. I loved how A-Rod answered back though classy move on his part. Gave the Sox no ammo to run with.President of the Devils Den
