Going to Albert Abreu and Domingo German in a very winnable game in the 8th inning last night probably explains the chants.

Seemed likely after the September collapse. Wonder if they can coax Bruce Bochy out of retirement; would be a natural fit given the championship pedigree and the past San Diego connection.Last edited by Chip Douglass; 10-02-2021, 02:52 PM.I write things on the Internet.

If getting punished by a team with a third of your payroll while trying to make the playoffs doesn’t convince you to fire your GM and manager, nothing will.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: 9/27 - 10/3 Game Discussion Thread
To be fair. The Rays have done that to everybody. They are a damn good team. With that said I'm still done with Boone and Cash. Boone changes the lineup every day and uses his pen like he's drunk.
Cashman has been a pretty good GM imo.But it's not enough. At the end of the day it's WS or a bust. And it's time for a new era after this year. Time to move on.

Can’t wait to be excited for Yankee Baseball again in 2040-ish when Cashman finally retires from being too old to do the job anymore.Last edited by Rocket32; 10-02-2021, 05:24 PM.Comment

Big two out ninth inning rally by the Red Sox looks like it will keep them in the sole wildcard second position going to the final day.Comment

Seattle needs to win tonight to stay alive.
My wife's parents have their 65th wedding anniversary tomorrow and there is a family function at 2:30 pm on Sunday. No way I can get out of that.
I'm gonna fake a really bad stomach issue and spend 2 hours in the bathroom with my phone.
Am I a bad person? Probably. But I will be a well informed bad person. I'm sure some choice swear words will come out of my mouth when the Jays follow up their outburst today with one run tomorrow. I will blame those words on awful illness.Comment

Mariners still need to win tonight to stay alive.
But aside from that, Jays need to win to have a shot at gm163. Red Sox or Yankees winning guarantees themselves a WC spot.
All games happening at the same time will make this such a crazy scoreboard watching game.
No doubt in NY and Toronto and maybe Seattle you'll hear random boos and cheers in the middle of their games from the fans checking out the scoreboard updates.Comment
