I was actually just thinking about that, has there been any long term free agent contract that worked out as well as Scherzer’s with Washington? A-Rod’s wouldn’t have been bad if he didn’t opt out in 2007

Votto is in the final 2 years of a 10 year one with the reds it hasn't been a disaster really. his production has dropped but at least he has stayed healthy and still a starter

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I have no idea, I’ve never followed him or tweeted anything about him, if I had to guess I’d say I’m blocked because I follow a beat reporter he seems to have an issue with. It seems like he has the majority of Mets and Yankees fans blocked

If you go on any team websites, it’s as if the past couple days never happened. All articles and anything mentioning recent signings has been removed.

Scherzer's is probably the best. There's a few decent ones: Manny with the BoSox, Beltran with the Mets, Holiday with the Cards, Giambi with the Yankees. Still, these are the exception, not the rule.

At least on the Braves site, there's an article explaining there are limits on the content they can put on the site now that the CBA has expired.

"You may notice that the content on this site looks a little different than usual. The reason for this is because the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the players and the league expired just before midnight on Dec. 1 and a new CBA is currently being negotiated between the owners and the MLBPA.

Until a new agreement is reached, there will be limitations on the type of content we display. As a result, you will see a lot more content that focuses on the game’s rich history. Once a new agreement is reached, the up-to-the minute news and analysis you have come to expect will continue as usual."

Yeah Fangraphs have it up before any website or contract is ever 'official' sometimes it can take 1 week or 2 before it actually is official when the player is given a jersey number.

You Read that Nick Martinez is still a free agent so I don't know what happnes there and poor players that just got DFA

Brewers were after ANOTHER Jays player.

They tried trading Bradley for Grichuk. Jays said no.

A 31 year old OF who hit .163 in almost 400 at bats last season and will make 11m next year

                                OR

A 29 year old OF with a .703 OPS and 22HR in over 500AB making 10m next year

                                Clearly Jays would say no.

Kolten Wong is one of the guys I would trade Grichuk for on the Brewers in terms of trades that would be fair.
