AA's offer is basically the same as what LAD gave outside of the extra year. Dude is making millions and Atlanta fans absolutely love him so why would that extra year be a deal-breaker? This isn't a scenario like with Andruw where he priced himself above ATL's limit.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

His agent botched the whole thing.

Apparently theres been a Cleveland scout following Jays C Alejandro Kirk during ST.

They had interest in Moreno, who I wouldn't mind giving up for Ramirez, but they also wanted Manoah. And I wouldn't give up Manoah for Ramirez. Having 5 starters in your rotation who could be in the top 3 in most other rotations, don't mess with that.

But Kirk,Biggio have to be 2 of the names part of the Ramirez deal at this point. Not sure who the name is that would put them over the top in this deal that they'd be willing to part with.

2 Jays targets/former Jays off the board.

People didnt really want Villar, but if they didnt get anyone, he'd be the last option probably.

Dickerson it sucks they didnt get him, especially for that price. I'd rather the lefty Dickerson at that price than righty Grichuk at double the price, especially when backup left handed OF is really their only need offensively at this point.

their were early rumors about the Yankees wanting him and they need a backup outfielder perfect player for them to get injured too.

                          Yup.

Chipper: "I wish like anything that we could go back in time, just about a week, and have a do-over. Just for Freddie's sake."

And more Chipper: "I told Freddie, 'You're playing a dangerous, dangerous game ... They will move on without you, because Alex has a job to do. If he doesn't do that job, he puts his job in jeopardy.'"

I am beyond excited to have Freddie as the 1st baseman of my team. It feels very similar to Mookie and Boston. The Dodgers always seem ready to be there if something falls apart regarding a contract.

I do wonder if it will make Muncy expendable when he becomes a FA. And of course, there is the question of what to do about Trea Turner. But still, I am excited.

A stupid trade from Yankees didn’t get anything back, people forget how good voit was in 2020 for 60 games, Yankees would have been better to try and get profar or another outfielder from them
Basically gave voit away for free
