It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine. -

Forget the Mendoza line, we need a Zimmer line.
If you hit under .100 in a season when playing in 81+ games for a team, you should be banished from that team forever.
Poor Mitch White. 10GP for the Jays, he's 0-5 with an ERA around 8, despite a FIP under 4.Last edited by Majingir; 10-05-2022, 02:42 PM.Comment

It’s not meaningless to the home ball club to get any gate revenue they can.
It’s also not meaningless to fans who paid for season tickets.
Despite playoff implications, MLB and the 30 teams should do everything possible to play all 162 games.
Besides how fair is it for the Blue jays to get an extra day rest and rest arms and players, when the team they’re playing in the playoffs has to fulfill their obligation of 162 games played?
If the games can be played then they should be played. Period.

Freddie Freeman making an out in his third at bat pretty much seals the batting title for Jeff McNeil. Man what the hell did the Mets analytics team do to him last year to have him batting.251 after never hitting below .300 in his career?Comment

Re: 9/19 - 10/5 Game Discussion Thread
But one interesting element in this year's playoff we haven't really had before (minus 2020, but that's a write off year for many) is how do teams approach the playoffs this year in terms of WC rosters.
You have a 3 game series, you technically only need 3 starters. Do you put your other 2 starters in the bullpen, leave them off the roster? And how heavy do you go into pitchers on your roster. You don't need as much pitching depth in a 3 game series, so do teams load up more on offense, such as pinch runners off the bench, guys used for very specific defensive or pinch hitting situations.Comment

I don't think it's so much about "turns in rotation" for most teams, they're just going all out.
