Re: 2022 - 2023 Hot Stove Thread
Octavio Dotel is another. Played for almost half the league, despite that he hasn't played for more than 3 teams in a single division.Last edited by Majingir; 08-11-2023, 02:31 PM.Comment

Don’t forget Edwin Jackson; man literally played for half the league (15 teams).

GMs discussing potential mid August trade deadline.
Keep the trade deadline at the end of July and put the draft back in June.

But at the same time, do teams really want to be giving up lots of value for a guy who will basically just be on the team for 1.5-2 months.
Mid August would basically be 2 or 3 less starts for a SP and a dozen or so less games for a hitter.Comment

Syndergaard designated for assignment. The future looked so bright for the Mets when they had Harvey, deGrom, Wheeler, Syndergaard, and Matz but you just never know how long a pitcher’s body will hold up. Makes you really appreciate the durability of guy like Scherzer and ColeComment

Small part of me wonders if Jays would even consider getting him back. Wouldn't hurt at this point if you're desperate to try something different with your struggling offense.Comment

Nah I expect the Cardinals front office to sign him to like a 4 year $100M contract and then trade Nolan Arenado this winter to the Dodgers

Re: 2022 - 2023 Hot Stove Thread
Reds get Bader AND Renfroe.
Seems like they're the best team to get anyone on waivers.
Nobody claimed Grichuk, guess that means people really think the Coors effect really boosted his numbers and his numbers in LA was more like how he'd be. Even if it is in Colorado, imagine hitting .300 with an OPS over .800 for the first half of the season and nobody claimed you on waivers in AugustComment
