Something not brought up is that in yesterday's game, I think it was 1 out, Baez was on 3B, the batter hit a fly ball to RF. Baez knows its gonna be caught so he goes back to 3B. The RF catches the ball and throws it to the catcher. Baez literally just stands on 3B the entire time making 0 effort to take a few steps off 3B once the catch is made, doesn't try to bluff dashing home, doesn't even care if the throw to home goes past the catcher.

Oh boy. Toronto starts battered Jose Berrios (0-2, 11.87 ERA, 1.86 WHIP) against the Rays tonight. I wonder how much of a leash he'll have this season after last year's horrible season (5.23 ERA). He's got a big contract but he can't take a regular turn in the rotation if he's putting the team in an instant hole every night.

You might want to place your bets on Tampa setting the record with a 14-0 start.

It’s way too early to be looking at wildcard standings, but I didn’t expect the Mets, Padres, and Dodgers to all be looking up at the Pirates at any point this season
