I hope that wasn’t the last time Max Fried pitches for the Braves; but if it was, that was the way to go out.

Mets looking like they are feeling pressure…Alvarez and Mendoza lost their minds on that borderline pitch.

I know the Mets are bad holding runners, but wow. Turang running wild.

there was an NFL kicker named Blewitt not long ago, I remember thinking in pro sports, that's a legitimate name to change. No offense to family heritage and stuff, but that's not a name you want attached to you in sports

I saw the Tigers run started once Javy Baez went on the IL, too

He's still got $75M and 3 years on his deal, too

Fun Fact: This will be the 1st full season since 1974 in which the AL doesn't feature at least one 95-win team.

White Sox up 1-0 in the fourth. If they don't make it to forty wins, Chicago should donate the team to Oakland to replace the A's.

This is torture waiting for the three games that affect the NL wildcard to come on. I was hoping for at least one afternoon game

Hate that MLB took out the chance of a 163rd or even 164th game.

Jays are 500-500 in their last 1000 games.

Lost in the whole 2024 White Sox season is that they were at one point exactly .500 in their almost 125 year history during this season.

Depends what happens next season, Jays, White Sox, Astros and Pirates could all have their franchise overall win % be exactly .500 at some point next season.

It feels like things are heading toward the Mets needing to sweep a doubleheader in Atlanta to make the post season

Maybe things aren't looking so bad for the Mets with how bad Arizona is playing. A Mets win or AZ loss tomorrow would mean they only have to win one in Atlanta

The Braves could be looking at a scenario where they secure a wildcard spot but have to play a meaningless doubleheader for them then fly to SD to play the next day

Weirdly, I'd kind of rather have seen the Braves win today and tomorrow along with the Mets while the DBacks lose one or both...so that Monday wasn't needed. Tonight's results mean Monday will be played for sure now...
