Braves have to rely on Sale now…but every reliever for Braves should hang their head. Just horrific performance by Jimenez, Iglesias, Johnson.

If the Braves manage to choke this entire day away and lose game 2, can it finally be the end of the Snitker era? This was a typical choke of one of his teams. Haven't been a fan of his day 1 and his only saving grace is the incredibly lucky WS run that was in spite of him.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Also not sure I agree with taking Iglesias out at that point once they already had the lead. Mets didn't take Diaz out and it paid off. This one is more of a hindsight type discussion, but putting in Johnson to save the game was a bad decision out of the gate.
At this point, we've seen this team routinely collapse under Snitker's management in situations like this. It's no longer just a coincidence. It's a trait of Snitker's teams.Last edited by canes21; 09-30-2024, 04:24 PM.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

If they can't win game 2 against a spring training like roster, he definitely should be "retired". I've never liked him either and saw him as average manager and terrible in game.

If that doesn’t encapsulate the Braves 2024 season I don’t know what does. This could end up being a blessing in disguise (if he isn’t hurt for real) if we win and then have him for Game 1 of the wild card.

Don't buy he is actually hurt. Feels like they are hoping to limp across the finish line in game 2 and use Sale in the WC series.
