So the Cardinals gave Nolan Arenado's agent the green light to talk to other teams to facilitate a trade.

      Wow!

Moz is doing his best to burn the house down before he walks away.

      Yesterday's Memphis Redbirds are today's St.Louis Cardinals.

Sounds like A's were the most aggressive after Fried before Yanks got him.

              I think Ken's tired.

Cleveland is acquiring a guy that's already on their roster? Genius move by the Jays adding his name as someone their team is getting without them knowing he's already on their team...

              Edit-

He corrected it to say Jays getting Sandlin and Gimenez for Horwitz and others.

Horwitz had a good season last year, but a 27 year old rookie, that could very well have been his peak, or maybe the beginning.

Now MLB Network reporting that is the deal. Horwitz for Sandlin and Gimenez. How did Cleveland make that deal? A decent arm out of the pen and a 3x gold glove 2B for a 28 year old player who played 1 season?
              Horwitz then traded to Pittsburgh.

Which is an interesting move, basically just Cleveland offloading a lot of salary by taking back some mid-low level prospects in the end?

Gimenez does have a big remaining salary, we'll see how he does with the Jays. Defensively he'll obviously be fine, but offensively he's struggled. We'll see if playing in the AL East helps his numbers in any way. Maybe he can teach Bo how to play defense as well?

Yea will be interesting.... And they have Bo's replacement, if he's gone after 2025 season.

Red Sox land Garrett Crochet from the White Sox for Teel, Montgomery, Meidroth, and Winkleman.

Seems to be going back and forth on reports in terms of Burnes. Jays and Giants seem like 1 and 1A. Red Sox are 3rd team involved.

The fact this regime could've completely blown the Vlad/Bo era is crazy, but I also don't know whose to blame because at their peak they were a 90+ win team who had some big FA moves, yet couldn't win a single playoff game, that's not entirely on management. Now Vlad could be set for one of the bigger non Soto/Ohtani deals out there while Bo is gonna want to cash in too and likely walks (if I'm the Jays, I'm dealing him by the deadline. He'll likely have a big contract year, so deal him while he's hot, even if the team is in a playoff spot).

Haven't taken a close look at it, but put me in the meh column on the Fried contract.

Same. Depends what other moves they make. But doesn't exactly blow me away.
