Pirates letting a guy whose hitting .156 and struck out four times tonight stick around. Making a solid relief pitcher be a starter when you have other options in the minors

Max Fried no-hitter alert through 7 IP and 92 pitches.

There was a controversial play in the 6th that they scored an error, but if the Rays get a hit otherwise I fully believe it'll be reversed to an infield single. It absolutely should be a single regardless.

It would be really interesting if he did get a no-hitter, then further examination made an overnight stat correction and invalidated it.

EDIT: Official scoring changed it to an infield single. Honestly, right call. Harder to change later, and I'm sure that was being deliberated. Although it'll be argued that they should've just reviewed the play at the time and gotten it right the first time.

There was a legitimate base hit in the eighth inning regardless.

Too bad Baltimore didnt have a double-header yesterday. They could have given up half a hundred in one day.

Guess you probably don't remember the time they hosted a doubleheader against Texas, and I believe they lost 30-3 in Game 1.

I don't remember Game 2's score, but let's just say it wasn't that.

Glad Arraez seems to be alright after the scary collision last night. Apparently he was back at the stadium by the time the game was over.

Just a really unfortunate play - I don't know that Dubon really could have done much else with his momentum taking him right into the runner's path, except maybe not brace himself and end up putting himself at the same risk. Saw some really strange reactions on social media last night because of an out-of-context clip of the play - Lots of people saying it was a dirty play by the "first baseman"( ), not realizing the guy making the play had been in a full sprint to reach the bag and needed to make one last lunge to win the race. Once he left his feet he knew there was gonna be a collision and just braced for it.

Yeah, base ball is a funny game. I've seen teams in doubleheaders win game one by 15 runs and then lose like 2-1 in the second game. And that always reminds me of the Yankees Pitates World Series in the 1960's where the Yankees easily outscored the Pirates over the seven game series but Pittsburgh won the championship. The Yanks couldnt score their runs in the right order of innings.

The Blue Jays have the worst offense that money can buy.

The Cubs bullpen might be the worst in MLB history.

What's the point of having all that offensive talent if you staff your bullpen with dummies?

Who thought this was a good idea?
                              ..
                              13 hits...7 runs... not enough.

                              Edit: are you kidding me?

Watching baseball is difficult this time of year.Too easy to make rash judgements, good and bad, about players and teams. That's all I see.Wake me up in a couple of months.
