you guys shoulda seen those marlin fans. they were shouting, honking horns and harassing the mets fans. i being the new yorker i am reminded them how many games they're back in the standings. as far as wagner goes, he cant give up a homerun in that spot. beltran showed some puerto rican power with that blast and reyes' shot was equally impressive. i had a shot at it but it landed a few rows behind me. there was a marlin season ticket holder who i befriended who was really giving milledge a hard time in right. this was a game they should of won. hopefully they'll take the next two and "wrap up" the nl east. by the way, im goin tomorrow and thursday to see pedro pitch for the first time.

i hope Paul Hoover gets in the game against the Mets tonight.. The Phish called him up from Triple A... he played legion ball a few years before i was old enough.. the team he was on steubenville post 33 fielded 9 d1 starters, they were pretty sick..went to the world series that year!!

how many games is heilman going to lose for us before managment realises, there is a problem and the guy is garbage. dude pitched OK last year, im so sick of hearing it. hes done nothing this year, not even show any signs of promise. we are the best team in the NL, like 3rd best record in the MLB. we are having a great season, yet i will be sitting on my couch in october watching aaron heilman throw away my hopes of a WS trophy? why, when right now at the beginning of august, I know, and we all know, this guys time in NY isnt going to end on a good note. Im sick of him and his little puckered up face he gets when hs getting blasted every game. its bad enough billy wagner is mentaly unstable in a pressure situation, now Im just hoping the games gets to billy wagner to lose. this was the marlins tonight, what is this guy going to do against the cards, or the red sox or yankees. forgetaboutit. guys a bum.

man what a wasted effort by Pedro tonite. he looked good and that catch by Beltran left everyone's mouth in the stadium open. those two rally-killing double plays hurt us but it doesnt cover up the fact that Heilman is struggling. maybe Rolls Royce Ring can provide a spark in the pen. right now i'd rather see Bradford or Hernandez on the 8th.

OMG... that's just bull. The kid was lights out early on in the season... in fact, if anything, the kid was OVERUSED. B/w him and Sanchez, they were the reason our Bullpen held up the leads.

He's struggling b/c he's not pitching as much as he was before... Every pitcher knows it's harder to keep on your "A" game if you get used to throwing all the time then rarely get in a game.

Hopefully, he'll adjust.

Yeah, big difference having Duaner in the 8th from Heilman. But he had been pitching better. He had lowered his ERA from 4.40 to 4.11.

Still not a bad night for the Mets:

Pedro looked great in his 2nd start after a long layoff, oh and the Mets extended Reyes contract trough 2011.

You'll see Hernandez moved to the bullpen in the playoffs with a spot start every now and then. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
