Mets need Pedro back and one of their starters needs to be a money bullpen guy in October or the Mets hae no shot at doing anything. What a pathetic team.

Pedro is not going to be the holy grail saving grace of this team.

They even lost the game where Glavine gave them a quality start. 7 strong, scoreless innings... and they still lose.

We just don't have the bullpen we did last year. I was pissed they let Bradford go... and I get pissed even more now thinking about it. He was the perfect setup man and situational pitcher. Heilman's confidence is shot, Sosa can only do so much... Mota isn't roiding, Feliciano's lost it... Sele and Schoeneweis are inconsistent.... who the hell else is there?

I won't even mention our "closer."

JOE SMITH!!! he's pitched better at the major league level than half the bullpen has to date... this team is playing so lacidasical it is not even funny.. what is Willie doing?? As much as I like him, he seems not to be the "in your face" kinda guy which this whole team needs.. they need to wake up big time.. I would not be shocked if they missed the playoffs at all..

seriously, i watch these games and its like why hope we will go the distance? it is impossiblke to win any type of championship when we have to depend on shoenwise to hold a 1 run lead. IF our starters make it out of the 1st 4 innings (which ive been holding my breath the last 2 months) the longest they will go is 6, thats 3 innings of minor league quality pitching. its just not possible. the only reason we have maintained a winning record is because the rest of the league is pittiful. pitching is atrocious everywhere.

Great job sweeping the Bravos, but come on, Wagner is stinking up the joint.

We need him back in form.

Very good series by the bullpen, helped by 3 great outing by the starters.

Braves and Phillies play each other starting tomorrow, if the Mets can at least win 2 in Cincy they'll keep gaining games on one of them.
