Hafner heating up! 3 more rbi's! And how about that Shoppach? Kid should be starting... and would for a lot of other teams.

It'll be interesting to see how the Tribe handles Shoppach/Garko/Martinez in the future.

            drop one of the outfielders...

What I'd do is either drop Michaels or Nixon and place Garko out there... I mean how hard does it have to be to play LF? That way we get all three guys bats in the lineup.

i think garko will be the odd man out. tribe signed victor to a long term deal. shoppach is a better defensive catcher. victor can move to 1st base.

but seriously... how much worse can Garko be than Nixon or Michaels in the outfield? He's a much better hitter and probably would do fine in LF.

I'd hate to lose Garko's bat. Since we need some more pop from the corners, I think we might see a Gutierrez/Sizemore/Garko outfield next season, which would be just great, IMO.

In other news, somone actually reccommended a Hafner/Thome trade on the Munch Show today. LMFAO. We may not be able to keep Pronk, but at least wait 'til the fire sales begin...(I'm looking at you Jermaine Dye)

heck, lets go with that outfield right now... I think it would work and we could get even more production out of our already dangerous lineup.

Exactly! It is also refreshing to know that for the first time in a while we are buyers and NOT sellers this year in the trade market. Let's add that missing piece or two right now and make a run at this thing THIS season. If we stand pat like we did in 2005 it's going to a long, tough road to the postseason.

I say we trade Sowers and Lee, move Miller up and pick up a power hitting OF or a really dependable set up guy.

I see Pronk listened to me. Nice to see the come from behind wins. I'm thinking we have a 2 game lead at the break.

True. I'd hate to see us hold on to prospects too long and get burned again. We passed on Pedro for Jared Wright and Russ Branyan back in the early 2k's, and there was a time when teams were offering us the moon for Brian Giles and we ended up with nothing.

In my mind Sabathia, Victor, Sizemore, Miller, and maybe Fausto are the only untouchables.

One more righthanded bat and one more reliable bullpen arm and we're ready to contend...

I think Sowers is going to be trade bait. Hopefully we can get somthing for him while he still has some value. I still like him though, hopefully he will turn things around in Buffalo.
