sounds like its a good time for the all-star break... at least we still have the wild card and are only a 1/2 game out in the central.

Re: The 2007 Indians Thread
We really need another bat in that lineup right now though. Another good arm in the bullpen wouldn't hurt either. Shapiro needs to get something worked out within the next two weeks. If we stand pat this year, I will be severely disappointed.Comment

Re: The 2007 Indians Thread
A few teams should start their fire sales soon. The White Sox have Konerko and Dye, the Reds have Griffey and Dunn and the Rangers have Teixeira and Wilkerson. I'm sure all of those guys would be up for grabs for the right price.Comment

Re: The 2007 Indians Thread
ok... I doubt the White Sox will trade with us... and I don't think we'd deal with them anyways... Reds? Maybe Dunn, but would he really help us right now? We need a right handed power hitter... As for the Rangers, Tex I don't think will come to us, I have a feeling he's going to Baltimore next year... and Wilkerson is left handed... So maybe someone like Josh Willingham from the Marlins or Kevin Mench from the Brewers or even Eric Burns from the Diamondbacks might be easier to get and all have decent pop from the right side...
Or we could always push Garko out to the outfield, put Victor at first and Kelly behind the plate...
I have a feeling we'll sit pat this trade deadline... I wish we'd make a move, but I just don't see many that will help improve our team dramatically.http://flotn.blogspot.com

Re: The 2007 Indians Thread
Rumors about Sosa keep popping up, and possibly Lofton returning (again) to shore up the 2 hole. I've also heard some Berkman rumors, but for any really good players, teams will want Miller.
The Sox would deal with us, but they want to see how this roadie goes. They got 3 with us, 3 at BOS and then a 5-game set with the Tigers.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: The 2007 Indians Thread
Cliff Lee has been awful. I`d rather see Stanford pitch in his spot.
Why is Mike Rouse on this team? this guy does not belong in the mlbComment
