Well, early in spring training they were already placing him in the 9 spot just because he's A.) lower in the order, and B.) after the first inning, him & Sizemore would still be batting in consecutive order.

Batting him 9th is fine in the AL. Have guys in front of him and let him work on clutch situations and at the same time still keep his speed in play.

Eventually I think he'll become a hitter like Mark Loretta (2004 and 2005), hitting at least .300, 15 home runs and be ungodly in certain hitting situations.

I just like having as much speed as possible at the top of the order. That is something we haven't really had since Lofton/Vizquel a decade ago. While Sizemore and Barfield aren't going to steal as many bases as that duo did, their power numbers will more than make up for it, especially Grady's.

I watched the game...it was a decent hit, but I think he'll be fine. He wasn't nursing it like it was broken or anything.

Hell yeah Grady! Way to start the season with a bang

EDIT: Wow, Barfield has some speed. That looked like an easy triple. 5-0, still 2 outs....I LOVE IT!

Well, hopefully he will be able to put together some starts that don't involve that many pitches, but I think he'll be good for 15-20 wins no problem.

Likewise, I hope Borowski only has problems pitching in blowouts.

Wow...Joe Borowski is like a skinny version of Wickman. He damn well buy Jason Michaels a steak for making that catch today. If nothing else, the drama provided the funny moments of Borowski looking around to see if he caught it and Joe Crede celebrating too early.

oh man I was freaking out in the car listening on XM... The White Sox radio guy said it dropped in, and then he was like "oh, I guess he caught it... we'll be back after these messages."

Joe is already scaring me though. 2-0, I'll take it!

If you get the chance to see the highlights, watch to see if they show Crede celebrating rounding 1st, its pretty funny.
