Still haven't had a chance to watch the reds yet, definitely gonna watch the entire game tomorrow. Heck I might go, just realized I have nothing really going on

There was one out with Freel on 3rd and EE on 2nd. Bako hit one to Rollins who kind of bobbled the ball and he ended up just throwing to 1st to try and get Bako out. Well, Freel was the winning run. Honestly, I don't think he had much of a chance to get Freel out at home anyway because Freel bolted towards home the minute the ball hit the bat pretty much. It was just a bit of a strange play. At least try to get the guy at home. What use does throwing to 1st do? I'll take any W!

Please let these young arms be the real deal, and not get hurt, and not get traded away when its time to get paid.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Hey, if Keppinger keeps hitting the way he is, I'm with you, Alex can be a high-priced backup. Good week 1 out of the Redlegs against two teams that people believe will contend in their division.

                          Re: 2008 Cincinnati Reds

Wow. Two young arms very impressive in their Reds debut. For Volquez, the most impressive thing about yesterday's game is that he had faced the Phillies twice late in spring and dominated them all three times. And in spring it was against their A squad. Plus he worked out of jams yesterday which is also impressive.

Very very stoked about this year for the Reds. Would love to see Votto start hitting the ball better when given the opportunity. Hatte isn't hitting it and now is Votto's chance to claim the starting position. Don't know a thing about Bako, but if he keeps hitting then keep him in there. And yes everyone, Keppinger can rake. It wasn't a fluke last year. He isn't "great" defensively but I think he is adequate enough to keep him in the game. If Votto and Hatte don't start hitting and A-Gon comes back, we may see Kepp at 1st base.

On a side note, I saw yesterday that Bruce was held out of the game. Anyone know if it was just a day off? I know he has been struggling in the first couple of games so I thought maybe they were just resting him and letting him clear his head.

Yes I have a feeling Keppy is going be playing alot of 3b and 1b once Alex comes back.
Also one thing no one is talking about because of the great young pitching is how well Patterson is playing. He gets to everything in cf and is hitting great so far. I dont have a very ggod feeling about today's game with Bronson pitching against the Phils.

I love how well Kepp is playing right now, but I agree with the others. If our 3B and 1B continue to struggle, it'll be a good move to put Kepp at either of those positions to keep his hot bat in the lineup and to also upgrade defensively with Gonzalez at short.

Gonzalez had a good year for us last year. Kepp is playing awesome, but I don't think it's too wise to keep Gonzalez out if Kepp can play elsewhere too.
