      Misery loves company.

On a serious note, Bavasi has some great international scouts he brought over to the M's (guys who found Felix Hernandez, Yuni Betancourt...at one time he was good, Carlos Truinfel, etc). I wouldn't be surprised if he brought some of them over to the Reds after the season.

That would be the first positive thing I have heard about Bavasi....by a long shot.

On a side note, anyone see this pic? Looks like the ball is jamming itself down Ross's throat:

Well, Harang is finally back, hopefully he can do good for the rest of the season. Bailey was optioned to AAA, I really don't have(really never did) any hope for him. Ross was DFA's and Ryan Hanigan was brought up. I wonder if Ryan Hanigan will do any good for the reds...and we aren't really even carrying 3 catchers now since Javy is pinch hitter/occasional 1st and 3rd baseman. I don't remember the last time he even played catcher.

I'm so glad this happened. I felt the only reason we kept him around was because he was jacking some homers. Once he stopped producing offensively, he was essentially useless to us, though I know Bronson likes him to be his catcher.

I think his defense is what kept him around. Not sure of the stats this year and where he ranks, but he generally has a high throw out rate at 2nd. But he is horrible at hitting and this is probably the best move.

Well...I said it. I said that I was about one good drumming away from completely giving up in the Reds this season and not caring anymore. And they did it. 13-5 today on Harang's return. There is just nothing to like about this team except for Bruce and Votto and Volquez and none of them are consistent enough to care right now.

It will be interesting to see what Jocketty does this off-season. He will show what he is worth, that's for sure. He was brought in to turn this team around so I expect some pretty significant moves.

But for this season, I am done. I will still check in here every once in a while but I won't even try to watch anymore of this pathetic team.

                  Good luck fellas.

Ain't that the truth. This team sucks all the energy out of you. Makes you feel empty. I've moved on... NFL preseason is starting up. Don't need you anymore Cincinnati.

Also, I think we'll go on some type of run here before the seasons ends. Just to get our hopes up for next year. I'm not buying it. Until you prove me something all season, you suck in my book.

That's the kind of crap the Bengals would do some seasons during the 90's. Totally different sport but still. I was suckered a couple of times. I have tickets to the Reds-Cards game this Saturday. I plan on going but it'll be my last game of the season unless I get really cheap Diamond Club seats. 2008 has been the fewest number of games I've gone to in a number of years. Pretty sad really.
