Well, I saw that Hariston is supposed to e back in the starting lineup tomorrow. I really hope they don't try to play Patterson everyday now, put Jolbert Carera in LF Hariston in CF and Bruce in RF.

I don't know, man. Patterson has earned the right to start every day with his performance in 2008. He's earned that $3 million.

Can you imagine paying a guy $3million a year when there were no other teams wanting him? I mean seriously, couldn't they have just paid him the minimum and said "be glad you got a team to play with"?

As far as Dunn...well for better or worse it is done. Obviously his power will be hard to replace as well as his OBP. But something has been telling me for a few years that he took on Griffey's attitude in the clubhouse and maybe it is for the best he is traded. I am certainly not busted up over it. Maybe a little torn because of his power, but not busted up.

What this tells me is that something is happening in Cincy. Change is taking place. That alone will bring my fandom back, but they better start doing better than 2 players to be named and a no name pitching prospect. Let's see what the fall holds for Cincy and by the time spring starts, I will know if I am going to follow them next year. Otherwise between them and UK, I just don't have the energy!

We're still on each other's lists, aren't we? I don't think we ever got a game in of anything yet. I still have CH2k8 if you want to get some XU/UD match-ups in when college basketball season rolls around.

I finally got my wish, the reds called up Dickerson. Now hopefully he can do good. Also, according to this link http://www.thelotd.com/ctrent/blog/2...med?num=5&pg=2 the 2 players to be named later are on the D'Backs 40-man roster. I guess we'll have to wait and see if that's true.

well with Dunn gone, I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to keep Dusty Baker around. No veterans to manage (Griffey, Dunn, Ross), no egos to stroke (Griffey), just a bunch of kids and journeymen. Dusty was paid to win. He is not and will not with this team. Dump him, eat the salary and hire a young, fiery manager who will actually motivate this team.

Apparently one of the PTBNL is Micah Owings, but we won't get him until after the season because another team put a claim on him. So, I wonder who the other player will be.

Did you guys see that Dunn is seeking a deal between $100-$120 million? Bronson Arroyo apparently said that "was no secret in the clubhouse." I hadn't heard about that before. Not surprising but damn.

I heard about this, I would be suprised to see someone give him that much money. Well, I'm sure someone with a lot of money will crack and give it to him.

If that's true then I'm starting to appreciate the trade more. In just a few years we go from an offensive team with no pitching to a pitching team with no offense. And the end result is the same: we still suck.
