Please don't tell any of the saber guys, they will find a stat that says that record is meaningless

14-11 now since Dunn was traded and they are ave. 1 run more a game since he left.

Option 1: Adam Dunn, slow, bad OF, below ave. arm, has hit 4 hrs and drove in 15 since he was traded.

Option 2: Chris Dickerson, fast 5 SB's in 24 games so far, above ave. range and arm in the OF, has hit 5 hrs and drove in 15 since being called up the day after Dunn was traded.

I will take option 2 evertime, I love Dickersons' hustle and range in the OF, I am looking forward to seeing him paired with Bruce in the OF for years to come.

Another win against a good team last night.
This Ramirez kid looks really good, it sucks Phillips is out for the year.
Does Phillips still win the gold glove now that he will miss the rest of the year?

leave it to the Reds to play well when it doesn't matter. Dickerson looks legit so I'm glad about that. Ramirez looked alright but starting a meaningless game in September is a lot different than opening the season in the rotation so let's not get too excited.

I'm anxious to see what the Reds do in the offseason. A lot of free agents on this team so the Reds will look a lot different next year and I'm thinking Jocketty might go with a youth movement, much to Dusty's chagrin.

I hope so. He deserves it. He'll probably get screwed again like he did last season.

For the 15,000 time Dusty is not going anywhere.
Talk here last night was about the Reds making a serious push for Matt Holliday this offseason. They said Jockerty is famous for getting big time talent (Edmonds, McGuire, ect.) and that the Rockies know they are going to lose him after next year anyway. They said the Rockies really like alot of the Reds young talent and are willing to discuss trading Holliday.
I think he is exactly what the Reds need, a big RH bat. Can you imagine this lineup
                    1. Dickerson CF
                    2. Keppinger SS
                    3. Holliday LF
                    4. Votto ib
                    5. Phillips 2b
                    6. Bruce rf
                    7. Edwin 3b (or Gonzalez her playing SS and Kepp playing 3B)
                    8. Hannagin C

                    Rotation
                    1. Volquez
                    2. Harrang
                    3. Arroyo
                    4. Cueto
                    5. Take your pick but remember you will have to Trade some of your young pitchers for Holliday.

So I heard something today that I don't recall hearing about before...

Dusty Baker's daughter is dating, or engaged to, Corey Patterson? They've been dating for a year or so? The part I had heard was Wayne Krivksy was told by Castellini to "get the deal with Patterson done" regardless of cost? It's all becoming clearer now...

                        EDIT: Found some linkage http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs...0404/1055/NEWS

What a joke. Baker is a joke.

But I think we can knock out the Houston Astros from the playoffs tonight. Yay.

I agree and I love how every time Baker's questioned about playing Patterson, his defense is "Who am I supposed to play?" citing injuries and moving Griffey and Dunn. In my opinion that's a pathetic excuse to put Patterson out there.

On a lighter not, the Reds go out with a 11-4 thrashing at the hands of the Cards.

                              Fantastic.

Who has a list of the unrestricted FA's that they can go after this offseason?

First off that article is from someones personal blog not a newspaper of sports website.
Second you are right it is a joke it is not true at all, he is not dating Dusty's girl, never has!
It is great how people take a false rumor and run with it! Is this the National Enquirer!??
Was it Dusty who wanted to sign Corey? Yes. But it wasnt because he is dating Dusty's daughter!!! Come on people!
Dusty also wanted to sign Jerry Hairston and how did that work out??? Pretty good if you ask me!
By the way we should be applauding Dusty's work the last month of the season. The Reds had the 3rd best record in the majors since September 1st. And they had it with a bunch of nobody's or havent beens!
