Good game by the Rangers today against the Royals, especially Hamilton who had 2 RBIs. Pitching was solid also today yeah i know its ST, but who cares

Possible blessing in disguise for the Rangers since Rheinecker is out of minor league options if he didn't make the team the Rangers would have to risk losing him to waivers before he could be sent to the minors.

Yeah. He's really no more than a lefty specialist which the Rangers hoped they had covered with CJ Wilson and Eddie Guardado... though Rheinecker has totally owned Ichiro.

Honestly, the only Rangers game I care about going to is when my Braves come to town. The thing about the Rangers that sucks is, you don't need to spend money to have a good team. That's why baseball has a farm system. Of course if you're the Rangers you trade the farm system for veterans who will flop. Oh well at least Texas still has Salty, for now. Hopefully he will get more playing time than Gerald Laird.

Josh Hamilton is a beast. Makes an amazing catch early in the game robbing Wilkerson of a double and then hits a 2-run shot in the 9th off Putz to give the Rangers the lead. Hopefully CJ can shut it down and get us a tie for first place.

Hamilton looks like the real deal. I didn't realize how big the kid is, 6-4 240 and can move. We may have the face of our franchise for the next 10 years. Our defense and bullpen has got to play better after the 2 dolid stats from padilla and millwood.

The Rangers are just mauling the Angels tonight. 11-0 going into the 9th.

Gabbard looked sharp tonight. Great fielding bailed him out a couple of times, but 0 runs through 7 innings is a damn good outing, especially for a team where good pitching is a rare thing.

6'8" Dustin Nippert is making his Ranger debut here in the bottom of the 9th. He's getting shelled already. No outs, men on 2nd and 3rd. Good thing this isn't a close game.

Tough loss tonight, it's a shame Millwood is 0-2 but has a 1.29 ERA, offense just couldn't get going against Weaver.
