Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
Joba out of the pen in the ALDS is pretty sweet. If Minny takes the one game playoff I would think Girardi would opt to take Marte over someone like Robertson since the Twins have more lefties.Comment

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
Edit: "I love how New York Media tries to make Joba a future ace" I can assure you the media had no impact on Joba in any regard that you spoke of, The "Joba Rules" were made by the Yankees front office and manager. Once again you show you have no idea what your saying, Thanks for the (You suck post) so original, and when you say Yankees please capitalize it.:wink:Last edited by jetercanoturn2; 10-05-2009, 12:50 PM.Comment

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
A pen of Coke, Hughes, Chamberlain, Rivera? Yea, those are the only names I want to see stroll out after the 6th."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. It's a breath of fresh air seeing him in the pen again (where he belongs) - Looked like the old Joba in the final game of the season.
Came in the 7th inning only needing 7 pitches to get out.Comment

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
Joba belongs in the pen, He is so electric for 1 or 2 innings, he doesn't have to hold anything back: Joba, Hughes, and Rivera, can you think of a better bullpen in the majors then that?Comment

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
I only mentioned him because he's a lefty and I'm sure they'll want to use him to face a lefty whenever that scenario pops up. I doubt we'll see Coke face three hitters in a row unless the game was out of hand."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I think Marte might have taken the main lefty role away from Coke. Both will probably make the postseason roster anyway.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
Hmm, I do not like Marte.
I do not like him at all.
I do not like him spring, in the summer, or the fall."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
He's pitched pretty well since he returned from the DL. He had that one ugly 4 run outing, but in his 13 other appearances he's only given up 1 run.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
