I'd still take Coke over Marte as our lefty specialist.

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
Postseason roster is pretty much set:
Starters - Sabathia, Burnett, Pettitte
Relievers - Rivera, Hughes, Chamberlain, Aceves, Robertson, Coke, Gaudin
Catchers - Posada, Molina, Cervelli
Infielders - Teixeira, Cano, Jeter, ARod, Hairston
Outfielders - Damon, Cabrera, Swisher, Gardner, Hinske
DH - Matsui
Last roster spot will go to either Marte (if the Twins win) or Freddy Guzman.
Thankfully Bruney didn't make it. I didn't want him anywhere near the playoffs.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
Good game.
The Yankees looked like they were playing a regular season game. This is good. I felt like the past few seasons they were playing under pressure. This game went smoothly.
Alex Rodriguez came up and was unsuccessful his first two at-bats with runners on base. He then proceeded to drive in two runs in his next two at-bats. He looked strong at the plate, driving the ball the other way hard twice, and also had a nice single into the gap. To me, ARod is at his best when he drives the ball the other way and when he strokes a low inside pitch into the gap in left. He can now relax and drive the ball. Great approach.
Jeter is still playing at a high level and it's amazing what he's doing at his age.
CC was dominant. Gave up a few hits, but we fans haven't been able to see a guy punch out hitters so easily in a while.
Love the bullpen plan. I think Girardi basically showcased the plan for the ALDS. Coke vs. a lefty. Hughes and Chamberlain in the 7th/8th. Rivera to close it out.

Re: The 2009 New York Yankees
well i was at the game last night and what a game it was, the energy there was unreal. my first post season game i've been too and it was incredible. another big thing i think we need to realize here is we got a lot of big 2 outs hits. which is a very very good thing.MLB: Yankees
