Wow; I figured he'd be in the minors for a good couple of weeks, especially following the trade, so kudos to Morty.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I'm liking McLouth in the leadoff spot. He's scored 5 runs in that spot over the last 3 games. I bet Chipper is loving having McLouth and Escobar on base so much ahead of him right now.

I've refrained from posting to not jinx the streak, but it has ended. Hopefully they can start another one tomorrow.

What a brain fart by Escobar that ended up costing us the game last night.

The Braves offense is ANEMIC!! Vazquez has pitched his *** off this season and only has 4 wins to show for it. The offense and bullpen have really let him down this season.

Vazquez? JJ has way more of a beef - 2.85 ERA and only 5-4...

That's true. I was just thinking of today's game. To pitch 8 innings, give up 2 hits & 1 run, have 12 K's and not get a win is just awful.

Who the hell is Barbaro Canizares? He was played 1B for us in the 3-1 loss today.

Called up to replace Norton. He's a Cuban defector we signed in like 2004 or 2005. He's hit pretty well the last two years at Triple A.

So for his MLB debut he hits cleanup?

Yeah, I know. Bobby's lineups puzzle me sometimes.

That's what I was thinking. Honestly though, we really don't have a true cleanup hitter. Chipper does better batting 3rd and McCann isn't really a cleanup guy. I don't know who should bat there......but it's probably not Barbaro. LOL We need another bat. I wonder what it would take to get Dye from the Sox? I liked him when he came up with the Braves years ago and wish they never would have traded him for Michael Tucker.

Probably too much, LOL. The Sox would probably want some of our younger talent(Hanson,Heyward, etc.) that we couldn't give up for a 35 year old hitter. However, if we could con them into taking Kelly Johnson and Jeff Francoeur off our hands with maybe one other player, that would be sweet.

We have plenty of young talent, especially in the pitching department, but I know that there's no way in hell we're giving up those two guys. LOL The way Francoeur's been playing, aside from his 2 hits yesterday, I don't think there is anyone else in the league that would want him.

Boston has expressed interest so I say compile a trade of the underacheivers: Frenchy, Kelly Johnson & Peter Moylan for some outfielder prospects and relief pitchers - I'd love to see Daniel Bard in a trade. But if GM Wren trades for Brad Penny I'll scream.
