Finally. I'm a Greg White fan, so we will see how he does. At least when we acquire another OFer it won't be that big of a deal to demote him.

Looks like another ****ty June for our Braves.

EDIT: Wow! I flipped the game when it was 5-1. Can't believe they won!

Unbelievable win...this team doesn't come back often so this was sweet.

On another note, I realized tonight why this team is hard to watch offensively: they don't do anything well. We aren't a small ball team with speed and we aren't a power team bashing the ball in the gaps or over the fence. We are a slow, singles hitting team that doesn't steal bases or hit and run.

We need a big bopper to plug into both CF and LF. I don't think those guys exist.

Yep. We have no real identity. It's almost like we trot out pitchers, and we just hope the offense can score a few runs somehow, someway.

We need to figure it out, and quickly.

At least the bullpen (or the backend at least) is pretty solid, although I wish Soriano would be closing instead of Gonzo.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Good analysis. I wish we tried stealing more bases. You don't necessarily have to have blazing speed to steal a base. You just have to pick the right time to do so, and I think this team needs to take more chances like that. Like you said, we aren't a ball bashing team that's going to drive in runs with gap shots or homeruns all the time. Look what the stolen base got us last night. Escobar steals 2nd and then Chipper singles him home. Had he not stolen 2nd, who knows if we win that game or not or even how many more innings we play.

The Braves have some speed and some guys who should have speed but for some reason don't. I think the Braves just don't work on it any more throughout the entire organization.

I miss the days of Otis Nixon leading off. If he singled, you could almost count it as a double because you knew it wouldn't be long before he was on 2nd anyway.

Unfortunately it was later discovered that the Braves had just filled the 2nd base bag with cocaine...

Glavine has been waived. I guess that means Medlen or Hanson (if Kris struggles) has the fifth spot in the rotation. I like it. I wasn't too keen on throwing Tommy back in as the fifth man.

Another major announcement is expected from the Braves around 8 p.m.
What could it be??? Hopefully a trade, but who knows.

RotoInfo.com is reporting that Hanson is going to be called up to start against Milwaukee on Saturday.
