That trade makes no sense. Hart isn't the answer to igniting the offense, and Franceour isn't so hopeless that he needs to be in a trade with valuable pitching just to be able to unload him.

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves
I think a possible trade (just thinking) would be sending Vazquez, Francoeur/Kelly & Moylan to Cleveland for either DeRosa or Matt LaPorta and a couple of prospects. First, I'd make sure Huddy's rehab is making good progress but otherwise I could see that being a win-win: we would have 5 SPs when Huddy returns, Cleveland desperately needs pitching and we get a high-end hitter.
I'd like to keep Javy since he's pitching well but Kawakami isn't going anywhere with that contract, Lowe's the top starter and JJ & Hanson are the future so I see no other alternative if GM Wren is truly going to get a good hitter.Last edited by Speedy; 06-27-2009, 12:14 PM.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves
Hart is an upgrade but it's like going from an F to a D...he hits for a little more pop, has a higher OBP but doesn't have the same caliber of defense. Regardless, there's nothing in Milwaukee I want...Cleveland already got their good prospects last year, unless the Brewers would unload Alcides Escobar which definately won't happen.

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves
What has happened to the Braves today, I don't know who these guys are.
2 SB, back to back bunts by Pardo and Johnson (although Johnson bunted it right to the catcher) in on 4 innings.
I guess Bobby must of watched a video on how to play small ball, since its been so long he must have forgotten how play small ball.Comment

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves
Meanwhile Hanson pitched a beauty of a game against one of the league's best offenses. The pitching was spectacular in this series and really gave our bullpen a much needed break.
Also, as if Kelly Johnson's offensive woes weren't enough, all of the errors he's made the past few games are adding fuel to the fire.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves
We should've definately made the move for Mark DeRosa.
He could play 2B for Kelly, RF for Frenchy and 3B when Chipper is hurt. I'm not sure if he plays SS or not.Comment

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves
A little late on this, but Hanson is amazing. I am more and more impressed with him after each start.
If only Bobby would come to his senses and get KJ out of the lineup in favor of Prado. Frenchy is starting to come around, Chipper's slump is bound to end soon. Those are all factors that will lead to our offense improving. I didn't even mention how well Garrett has been hitting lately. I still have faith in this team, but we need that one more move to put us over the top.Comment

Re: 2009 Atlanta Braves
If Bobby would quit putting Kelly in the lineup in stead of Prado and put Frenchy hitting 8th we could probably score more runs...or if Hanson could pitch everyday with all of the shutout innings he's accumulating.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Phillies better look out, Frenchy is bring his lucky boxers. This must be the key to his turn around recently.
