This team is abysmal. We've now been shutout 8 times so far this season, the most in the National League.

      Fire Pendleton, hire Bonds.

On second thought, keep Pendleton and just sign Bonds.

Any of you guys watching the game on TBS right now? That pitch by O'Flaherty was a strike. WTF was the Umpire thinking? I haven't seen Cox this fired up all season. Glad he finally took one for the team. Chipper also got tossed. Good to see him showing emotion and being the leader. Maybe this is exactly what the team needs to get going offensively and rattle off several wins in a row.

Yeah, that was a BS call. I think Chipper was still ticked about that so-called strike in the first inning.

Braves had to beat two opponents today, the Sox and the umps. We couldn't pull it out.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.............CAN WE PLEASE GET RID OF JEFF BENNETT? He is freakin' terrible. It was Nick Green for crying out loud.

As soon as they came back from commercial and I saw Bennett on the mound, I yelled and told my wife "the game's over." Sure enough one pitch and it was over. To be fair the pitch wasn't that bad and that is an out in any other ballpark.

I doubt it, but I like to see someone else besides Esky get fired up about something...On a side note, I honestly believe that Frenchy will either be traded or sent down by the trade deadline.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Saw this morning that the Royals still like Frenchy and are thinking of swapping Guillen for him, assuming the Braves agree to take over Guillen's $12 million salary. I don't like that deal but we need something....Blanco certainly wasn't the answer today. At least Anderson's giving us some production in LF lately, even if he's not hitting for any power at all.

I hope this deal doesn't work out. Guillen's a headcase and not worth the $12m salary.

As much as I want Atlanta to go after a slugger, they really don't have the means to do it. The main reason (although they won't admit it b/c of violation) they released Glavine was money and I doubt the opposing club would eat a lot of the salary from a hitter like Holiday or whatnot, regardless of the prospects that would be included.

I don't really want them to give up those prospects. This team is really bad offensively and I don't think 1 player can fix it. Plus I don't want any more rent-a-players.

                              Case in point........Mark Teixeira

We gave up a ton of good prospects for him and he wasn't even with us a full season.

I never was one for the move for a single season player. Granted there are situations where fill in players need to be brought in. However, trading off top prospects for a single player who won't make or break a teams playoff chances is pointless.

I miss the days where we would keep our farm system intact for years so we saw our prospects turn into stars over the seasons. The key to sustaining the dynasty is being able to weather the storm and not panicking to the point where you trade all of the prospects away in a meager attempt to get back into the playoffs.
