Man I miss playing that game. My PS3 got the "YLOD" and haven't had the $$$ to grab another one. Anyways, let's hope your RTTS character goes on a tear, gets called up to the Show, and the Giants go on a hot streak and make the playoffs! If that translates over to real life that would be scary...lol

Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants
yup penny really showed me something tonite.I was hoping for 5 innings and maybe a run or two but to get this kind of outing was really unbelievable, here's hoping he can sort of keep it up.
I'm also hoping to see a Lincecum Posey battery soon.Comment

Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants
Nice pickup game. I was hoping to see Posey in a Pinch though. I had a gut feeling Uribe was going yard. When he swings it's all or nothing.
It's a sweet matchup tonight. I'm excited about this one.Comment

Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants
I was bored...Watching Matt Cain the past couple years and the horrendous run support and luck he got has made me hate that the won/loss record is SUCH a huge factor in Cy Young voting and all around. Cain finally got run support this year (well the first half at least). Here are several interesting things:
Wins in games pitcher was losing when removed but offense scored that inning to give them the win.
Carpenter 2
Wainwright 0
Lincecum 0
Cain 0
Cain08 0
Cain07 0
Wins in games pitcher was tied when removed but offense scored that inning to give them the win.
Carpenter 0
Wainwright 2
Lincecum 0
Cain 0
Cain08 0
Cain07 0
No decisions in games pitcher was winning when removed but bullpen blew it.
Carpenter 1
Wainwright 2
Lincecum 3
Cain 2
Cain08 3
Cain07 5
Games not won when giving up 2 ERs or less
Carpenter 3
Wainwright 9
Lincecum 7

Quality Starts/Games Started

Wainwright 20/28

Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants
I was waiting for Posey to come off the bench. At least we can hope for the best with him and chalk it up to nerves if he didn't come through. When Fred stepped up I hoped for an error at best and got what was expected, a fielders choice.Comment

It's like the Gold Glove award now. Batting and popularity seem to play a role with that award.Comment

Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants
Cain hasn't won in 7 consecutive starts.. longest in his career. It's crazy that he hasn't won since june 24th. His career stats vs MIL aren't so good either. Maybe this is when it changes.I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can'tComment

Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants
there is no way that cain and lincecem or zito for that matter should have as few a victories as they do, come on guys lets start hitting, lol. I do like the idea of sandoval starting at 1st (as was stated by bochy last nite), move uribe to third and sanchez at 2nd when he comes back should help greatly with the offence.Comment

Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants
Randy Winn...you are better than that...horrible at-bat right there when gallardo was struggling with his command.
btw Cain has twice had 8 start winless streaks in his career so this is not his longest although after today it will probably tie for his longest.Comment
