I agree about Sanchez, he was a lot more consistent the second half, a different pitcher almost. When Sanchez is throwing strikes he seems to be as difficult to hit as Lincecum is.

Molina signs 1 year 4.5 mil deal. Ill take Molina for a year. It's better having Posey learning from him, and Molina deserves at least this for what hes done for the team and staff.

And Operation Panda... he's only hitting .395 in Winter Ball. 81 at bats.

          Giants re-sign Jonathan Sanchez @ 1yr 2.1m
          Medders @ 1yr 820k
          Bengie Molina @ 1yr 4.5m

Lincecum has filed for 13m in arbitration while the Giants submitted 8m. He'll probably make over 10m in the end.

Surprising with the Molina deal, as he wanted a 2 year deal. He rejected an offer with the Mets just a few days ago. I actually don't mind the deal since it is just 1 year and as long as Molina isn't our cleanup hitter and instead moved to say the 6th spot.. that'd be fine offensively. It also HOPEFULLY allows the Giants to smartly keep Posey down in the minors as he learns the game and be called up a few months down the line while adding another year that the Giants can retain him.

The Molina signing is great. I love that guy, except when he leads off an inning.

I am very happy with this deal! I am liking this line up! Panda will be the true power bat and now with these other guys, I think we have a good chance to win the West!

Yeah I agree Remix, this is where Posey need to be. He can come up later and probably suceed more too. I am pretty excited what we are putting out there for the line up this year. Plus Sandoval is only going to get better and that is scary! I hope Sanchez can really shine now and the other Sanchez is healthy too. The only thing we are lacking in is speed. So I see Eric Byrns wouldn't mind playing here. I would like to see them sign him. He says he is healthy. I like Nate, but I rather have Eric playing in right.

I think it's interesting that Molina might have stayed put because the Giants have a lot better shot at the playoffs, etc. than the Mets...

It's be a while since THAT was the case...

I also think he'll be even more productive in the six hole, has a lot to offer with Posey and what catcher wouldn't want to work with that rotation...

                  Good stuff...

Freddy Sanchez has shoulder surgery and may miss the start of the season!

What the h*** is he thinking having surgery now, what was wrong with a month or two ago.

                    I don't get it.

Yup, that's exactly what I yelled at the TV last night. I have a bad feeling that this is going to linger all year.

It's too bad we can't void contracts because that's just dumb. The guy has missed more time than he's played for us AND was rewarded with an extension. We traded Tim Alderson for this crap. Hey Sabean, Winn is still available. Go sign him to a 3 year deal. Genius.

Get it done now. And he will be ready soon. Maybe a couple weeks or a month in the season. I am not tripping too much about it. He is still the best second baseman we have, so I could hold on. Especially if it goes well and he is completely healed.

Well he has a bum knee and shoulder. I predict he'll spend more time dl'ing than playing and to think we could have kept Alderson and signed Hudson this spring. The sad thing is that our genius of a GM even knew he had an injury and still traded our #2 or 3 prospect for him.

Don't worry, we have Huff to kill rallys now. The first inning might be painful to watch.

                                Rowand: Strike out
Sanchez: Injured on swinging third strike
