Yes Pucetas has been throwing Great! What a nice decision to have picking between those three for your 5th starter.

At least this year if someone goes down with an injury or has to miss a start here and there as always happens, we will now have able replacements, unlike last year.
Like the old saying goes "you can never have enough pitching".

Huff has been having a real solid spring as well! Maybe spell Posey against lefties along with relieving Molina on fairly regular basis? Can he play any right field or second base, lol.

All in all the Giants have some tough albeit nice decisions to make in a week or so.

PS: Chizzypoof, are you going to make it to opening day? I wish i wasn't 1500 miles away, lol.

It's a tough decision with Posey. You'd like to have him playing everyday, either AAA or majors. I imagine he will sit behind Molina and learn to catch a MLB game. He was a SS initially in college wasn't he?

I personally have never really been a fan of Sanchez. I loved watching every minute of his no-no. But his inconsistency drives me insane. Hopefully this year he can reduce his bad outings, and if that happens i'd be more than happy to keep him for a long time. They can teach the stuff he has, so hopefully he can just harness it. His ability to miss the zone badly does put doubt in hitters mind, which is good. Just reduce walks and he's all good in my books.

Excited for opening day! MLB premium is pretty good for me over here in Australia. Saw 100+ Giants game last year!

I'm trying to bro. My co-worker may be giving up one ticket and I am on the short list. If I don't get it, I am not planning on being at work. I am on the belief that Opening Day should be a national holiday.

I split 1/4 of these season tickets that we had now for a year. But most of the big series go into a lottery. I am hoping for the Boston series.

Hopefully you make the trip again this year. You saw history last time.

Nice a Giants fan "down under". I have MLB extra innings through Directv so that's how i get my fix. My son has the Mlb premium and i did watch a game or two on it, works very well.

I did mention something to my wife about more baseball this summer and she just kind of stared at me, lol. I need to remind her of the great shopping in that city, maybe that would work!

Good luck with the ticket and i too will be lazing around watching opening day.

So Bumgarner has been optioned out to AAA. Can't say i'm very surprised considering how his competition has been pitching.

I was listening to Kevin Kennedy talk on Mlb on xm about this and he said that he'd heard that Bumgarner had come to camp out of condition, if this is so then good option the Bum out, lol.

Considering that he failed to K any of the first 35 batters he faced this spring and his lack of command makes it appear as though he wasn't ready for the spring. Also his fastball was once again lacking velocity as it was last fall, according to what we had been led to believe.

But considering he's only 20 this is likely for the best anyways. Maybe we'll see him later this summer, if need be.

Not surprised at all either. The velocity was the head scratcher for me with regards to Bum. Barely reaching 90 in spring.

We have too many pitchers right now and AAA would be best for him. He can work on mechanics every 5 days now.

Did you guys see the 30 clubs in 30 days for the Giants on MLB? It made me miss going out to Arizona for some R&R and baseball.

In 2004, my brother who is a prospect freak, got a gloved signed by the entire Brewers lineup. Prince was just coming up, and Braun was nobody yet. It was awesome to talk to Rickie Weeks. Nobody was there.

He also got a Ranger Jersey signed by Michael Young, Alfonso Soriano, Hank Blalock, Mark Texiera, and Buck Showalter.

I was chopping it up with Jason Ellison for a bit too. He was a cool guy. Gave me a ball after he warmed up.

It's a baseball fans dream out there.

Yes i did catch some of the 30 - 30 show on the Giants. I'll have to rewatch to see it all though.

It sure does look nice at those parks that's for sure, the fields look just as nice as the big league parks do.

Some year i do plan on spending part of the winter in Arizona and will be shuffling back and worth between the ball park's and local watering holes, lol.

Yeah I don't get how he lost his speed. My friend still trains pitchers for the Giants and he said Bum is the real deal, but I am just not seeing it. But this was about a year ago, so I hope he is right. He says he is better than Cain. So I am still hoping Chris is right he usually is!

Not only has the velocity dropped but control is gone as well. If you look at his minor stats he hardly walked anyone. Maybe it's simply a mechanics thing.

Well this was about year ago. But maybe he lost it. I am not too impressed with him. But I think it could be the Giants don't want him going full board. Especially being only 20.

That's a little scary, especially with what your friend said.

He needs to gain that confidence back. At 20 your emotional swings are huge.

On a more positive note, nice spring outing by Cain yesterday.

Gee i guess it's a good thing we didn't deal him away after all, lol.

Nice to see the Giants lock up Affeldt for a couple more years.

Now Wilson and Cain locked up as well.

I'm really wondering if the Giants will keep Ishikawa to start the season. I know they like his glove but i'd sooner they keep Posey and Bowker to help out over there and sacrifice some glove for some more pop. He looked absolutely lost at he plate in Saturdays game against the Angels. I'm also really wondering is Scheirholtz deserves to start in right, he looked terrible as well Saturday and hasn't hit much all spring.
