    LIVAN HERNANDEZ?

    That makes me ****ing sick.

Ugh. UGH. Uggggggggggh. Screw you, Game 5 of the 1997 NLCS. Shadiest baseball game I ever saw.

Hernandez is horrible? 4.47 for a fifth starter last year, and he was better the year before.

Hernandez isn't horrible, he'd be okay for long relief too, but....**** that guy.

I hold grudges. What him and Gregg did in Game 5 will haunt me forever. SMH.

Gonna have to shake it, I bet. Hopefully he redeems himself. If he sucks, oh man, I'm raising him in my "most hated sports people ever" list. He's already among the Kobe/Horry/Leyritz/Paxson list.

Dude's my favorite athlete of all-time. It's going to absolutely suck without him in the game. I hope he gets set up with a front office/dugout position for life.
If he doesn't it is a real shame.
I would love to see him hit about .330 with 30 home runs to retire with a great year.

I don't know about THAT much lol, but I'd be happy with .285 with 15 to 20 HR and 75 RBI.

Gonna be tough to do anything more than that considering how often he gets hurt. Frankly, I just want him on base. Draw a bunch of walks, let the others drive the old man in.

God that's terrible. You can't blame Hernandez for that though. I'd have done the same thing. I love that a pitch 2 feet off the plate was a strike. At least you don't see strike zones that wide very often anymore.

15 years later, and I still can't believe it.

I watched that video and I just had my hands out for like 5 minutes shaking my head.

I wonder if there's a place online I can get that entire game.

The Braves traded J.J. Hoover to the Reds for Third Baseman Juan Francisco. Francisco is out of options, so I imagine he'll start the season in the majors. He had a bad spring, supposedly showing up overweight, however his career triple A slash line is .304/.337/.559. In 169 big league at bats, he's got a .284/.331/.450 line. He's 24 years old. I'd take my chances on him too.

Hernandez signing looking better now as he may be needed as a long relief guy. Martinez got arrested for DUI. I thought he pitched well when given the chance and wanted him to get some opp. in other roles, but that may not happen now.

I, for one, am glad that we signed Livan Hernandez.

Now I don't have to watch as the Braves strikeout 5-10 times every time we face him lol.

I swear that guy has been our nemesis his entire career. Even more prevalent lately. Seems like he's throwing BB's to the plate cause all I remember seeing was hella goofy swings from the Braves lineup the past few years.

I think that is the only reason they signed him. Didn't matter if he had a +5.00 era, he would look like a sub 1.00 era pitcher against the Braves.

Actually aside from the unnamed game in 97 the Braves used to constantly bang Hernandez around and then about 4 or 5 years something changed the Braves haven't touched him since. Even with what he's done to the Braves these last few years his overall record against the Braves is only 9-18 with a 4.65 ERA. The 29 homeruns the Braves have got against Hernandez are the most of any team.
