    A++ defense and arm.

    I actually just watched him play in a couple of games last week against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. He was on fire in the two games I went to, hitting 2 HR, a few doubles, and some singles scattered in there as well. I wouldn't expect much power from him, but I do think he'll be a good upgrade, even if it's only a defensive one.

      Can he hit? Pastornicky wasn't hitting though, so as long as he can do what he was doing, the defense will be a lot better.
      He only hit .186 in Spring Training. But spending two months in AA hopefully helped him. In double-A, he walked almost twice as much as he had at lower levels, so that's big imo.

      I've heard he may be the best as well, however, the guy made 28 errors in A+ ball, so I'm tempering my expectations. I certainly expect him to be an upgrade over Pastornicky in the field. At the plate, it could go either way. We'll see.

              As someone else mentioned, those were not "normal" errors. He is able to get to balls that other players can't and he would get an error for not coming up with the ball cleanly or making a bad throw trying to get the runner out. As long as he cleans up the throwing errors, the others don't hurt the team.

              He is very similar to Furcal and how his speed and arm caused errors where someone like Pastornicky would have been turning around to watch the ball go into the outfield.

                Heyward needs to take hitting advice from someone else. I love the guy, but hot damn he can't get around a fastball to save his life... or at least his starting position.

                With Constanza up, he needs to be careful and start putting the ball in play more often, or he'll be replaced again like *snap* that.

                  Pastornicky is going to play second base and some outfield in triple A. No mention of him playing 3rd.

                    McCann is hurt again, although only listed as day to day, it is going to be a few days before he plays ... somehow the Braves need to survive this stretch of the season.

                      Is it just me or is Michael Bourne not running as much as he normally does? He only has 15 SBs so far this season. Maybe its just my imagination but seems kinda low for him considering we are a little over 2 months into the season.
                      Also does anyone know why Delgado was pulled after 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball last night? His pitch count was only 80.

                        Nice performance by Mike Minor last night. He hasn't be great so far, but he pitched good against the Marlins. Also, is Livan Hernandez still on the team? I feel as if we haven't seen him in a couple weeks.

                          Considering what Minor has been doing, it was a good start, but really I wasn't that happy with it. I'm glad he got out of jams, but 5 walks in 5 innings and another HR surrendered... he's not long for the rotation.

                          I'm going to the Braves/Jays games tomorrow, gonna get that Sid Bream bobblehead and see the '92 Braves vs Braves Legends in the alumni softball game. Should be a good day. Doesn't look like Chipper is going to play though, I was hoping he would but he's heading to Rome for rehab starts this weekend. I get another chance to see him later this month when the Braves go to Boston. I've never been to Fenway, so I'm excited about that for sure.

                            Is Chipper gonna be at the Smoltz ceremony later today or are they sending him to Rome before?

                            Wasn't impressed with Minor yesterday either but at LEAST he only gave up one run, lol.

                              Was really hoping I'd make it over there either tonight for the Smoltz jersey retirement or tomorrow for the Bream bobblehead. But I'm going to have to settle for Braves-Yankees next week with great seats.
